I think Zadorov is the most exciting player on the team, but man I really just struggle getting up into the 5-6+ AAV range. That’s about the money you’d pay for *both* Soucy & Cole next season.

I really wouldn’t want to offer more than $24-27M total money over 6 years.. and even then I would want to front load the money and limit the trade protection on the back end to minimize some risk.

And even that feels steep to me.

What gm will look at zadorov and say yep I’ll pay him 5.5×8

He aint coming back. I dont know who will give him what he wants, but they’ll regret it

I guess those Edmonton reporters were right all along lol

Its business. His size alone probably brings 6m AAV on the market. Is it worth 6m for a fun 4/5 D with an average of 2 PIM per game? Probably not.

JR is pretty ruthless. If the value isn’t there — much as I love Big Z — he’s going to walk. And he should, this team is bunched up butt-to-gut with the cap and every dollar counts.

4.75×7 front load with bonuses. Get’r done, PA!

Zadorov + Toronto media is going to be incredible content

He’s gone unfortunately. Ask is probably in the 5+ for both AAV and term

Let him sign elsewhere and then when they have buyers remorse we can trade for him.cheap w retention . Boom

  11. Zaddy isn’t the right guy to compete and possibly overpay for. He’s a depth D on our team.

Guess we’ll see but whatever happens at least I can say I trust what management is doing. If he walks it’s probably for a good reason, rather not have a situation where a very well liked player doesn’t live up to his contract and becomes a very hated player.

Miller take him to a nicer golf course right now Cap isn’t cutting it
