From what I’ve seen, Pronman is one of the few writers that believe the Hawks take Levshunov; most believe that Demidov is the pick. A recent draft list showed Levshunov at #7. I trust Kyle from Chicago, but bias aside, I truly can’t see how the Hawks can pass on Demidov, when someone like Jiricek is possible to be at 18.

Whether the pick is Levshunov or Demidov, I’m going to have fun cheering for them. Demidov looks like an offensive powerhouse and Levshunov reminds me of how important having a Keith-like D leader was to the dynasty’s success.
Don’t think we can go wrong with either pick. It’s just two flavors of great talent.
It’s nice to have options.

I just don’t trust pronmans projection with Levshunov. He’s the only scout I’ve seen who doesn’t see his IQ/decision making as a negative

Chris Peters had Demidov going two but had flip flopped back to Levshnov. I think it’s close between the two of them. Pronman tends to be more in line with NHL front offices than the typical talent evaluators, so he could be on to something here. As a fan, the offensive talent of Demidov is too exciting not to want him, but ultimately I’ll be happy either way.

I know many of us are rooting for Demidov, but even if Levshunov is who KD ends up selecting, I think they’ll be just fine. They’re very likely going to select in the top 3 next year too and will have another shot at an elite forward

Demidov this year. Hagens or McKenna next year. We just score 6+ every game from there on out.

I wonder if kyle knows which way he’s going yet
