  1. This is an excellent description targeting exactly where strengths and weaknesses are – comparing any team to those top performers.

Kakko seems to be a versatile flexible player, with enough NHL experience.

Bringing MSL in was a big risk to begin with… Stick to the plan. Stay risky

    The mock trade was entertaining

I really enjoyed the comparison to those other teams – great use of statistics.

  2. Matheson is good at protecting the line but doesn't have that blue line one timer as you stated. So where would you put Kakko and who would you pair him with?

  3. you lost me at kakko coach . the rangers former employee is in montreal . teams dont trade players to former employees . if the habs draft parekh with hutson second duo and mailloux with his bomb from the point. then they can develop a winger naturally .without having to spend assets to get one imo . buying a winger will cost us a guhlie or a fowler . for a player with risk either overpaid or not quite living up to expectations . yea no thanks to that .
i am still on the evaluation bus . but i do see an issue with struble being ahead of hutson and xhekaj . the numbers dont work at lhd . even with guhlie at rhd .if they trade struble and not say a pox xhekaj ? ill be quite upset .

  4. Kaako is Ka ka. I'd rather try to sign Marcheasault and make it an interesting season. The Habs have to be careful with asset management.

  5. With the amount of defensive prospects we have i dont know how we can fit so many of our good d prospects in the roster, i would definately take this risk. Kakko needs new scenary and montreal has developed a new attitude as a team. They're young, they're hungry and they're getting faster and tougher. kakko as a big player can benefit being around suzuki who's a great captain and players slaf and dach who are large skilled players. montreal should take this risk now while they're still rebuilding. Good video coach!

  6. Hi coach , where did you get the background the Habs logo with all the players surrounding it , I love it , I like to have one for my screensaver on my phone 😊

  7. I don't like their swing back when you only have 2 minutes of power play you want to be in the offensive end for most of that time. Most of the power play they seem to kill half of the penalty trying for a set up. Not good from my point of view

  8. I think Montreal will be involved in the biggest move of this off season. Again. But this time being one of the main 2 teams. I look at Buffalo. A team where they need to start winning. And a guy who serverly under performed for them as a star player. Tage Thompson. Now if they trade him. He still has a lot of value and they still have a lot of great offensive players. What would a package to Montreal look like? I think I know.

    MTL: Tage Thompson

BUF: Montambeault. 2024 First WPG. 2025 First CGY. Kirby Dach.

It dosent sound like much. But when you look. Your giving up a 1a goalie, 23 year old 2nd line Center and 2 firsts for a 25 year old top 6 Power Forward star. We get that top 6 physical star player we want and need. And Buffalo gets everything to be a good now team. Free up some cap also. And still get assets for future. Win win.
