Well this is certainly a list what will continue to get us into the playoffs only to flame out.

  2. Cute-Escape2751

If this is what happens and no new additions are made then this team won’t come close to winning next year. Awesome.

I am assuming we make some moves for a first line RW and improve our personnel for better zone exits. Laviolette is a good coach and he will not be sitting on his hands.

  4. Dig-Duglett

stating the obvious but rolling into another season w the same ineffective core another year older + the usual deadline fill ins that don’t push the needle doesn’t exactly inspire confidence.

The “for sure” part is a bit of a stretch.

  6. Maleficent-Comfort-2

So basically all of our trade deadline acquisitions

Trouba likely returning? I dont see anyway that he doesnt come back. I just can’t see them buying out or trading their captain that soon. Even if it could be beneficial, gm’s never like admitting they made a mistake

I thought they should have pulled the plug on panarin last year still feel the same , he has proven he is not a playoff scorer , know he wasnt the only one that had a bad series but if he scored a few times when he was alone with the puck series might have been different .

Look, I’m not buying a trocheck jersey only because we need him here

    I’m doing my part 🫡

Fuck this list. Have some balls.
Panarin out. Mika out. Trouba out. Kakko out.

  11. DaBomb2001

Kakko stays 100%, too soon to give up. Hes getting there too. Strong on the puck.

  12. brohammer65

I love him but they have to let lindgrin walk. He will be the next stahl and girardi

  13. They’re not winning the Cup next year with this team. There is no one or two free agents that are available for the price the Rangers are willing to pay, that will get them over the hump.

    Hope I’m wrong.

  14. I’m I the only that thinks we move on from Lindgren ?
Wear and tear , mileage adding up

As far as Panera is concerned, there are some players that just don’t fit well in playoff hockey. Without him, we would not have won the Presidents cup, and I think you need him for the regular season. I think the first thing they need to do is lock in Igor. Having the best goalie on the planet locked in for 8 to 10 years could be a good bargaining chip for other players, who perhaps may be willing to take a lesser deal with the potential of winning several cops if you get the regular 20 skaters lineup, looking like a playoff roster. Not sure how you lock up Igor, and laffy for long-term deals without moving some of the salaries with our existing players.

Gotta try to unload Trouba. The contract is awful. He’s 3rd pair d-man now and he was a traffic cone in the playoffs.

If we let Jones walk im done with this team until next May

Imagine we built a steel wall of a defense to compliment Shesty. Get a nice stay at home Dman — the scoring would open up because they wouldn’t be so gassed all the time being pinned In their own zone.

Need to get rid of Trouba and Miller. Obviously get a RW, but prioritize the defense.

    Defense wins championships.

  19. as a canes fan, i hope to see Tro get the C. One of my favorite players and wish we never let him walk, but deserved the bag he got.

  20. I made a visual guide to the Rangers current contracts. Apologies if I got some wrong, I’m not exactly a capologist expert, heh

Reality is, I expect to see very little movement from the core of the team this summer.

Trouba, Panarin, Kreider, Mika, Goodrow — they’re not going anywhere, no matter how much you want them to go. 2 or more years left for most of them, they cost too much to either trade or bench.

Kakko, Lindgren, Schneider — if I have that right, they’re all RFAs, which means it’s not entirely crazy that the Rangers might sign all of them if they can get modest deals (especially because the Rangers don’t have a ton of cap space).

The rentals and one-year guys like Wennberg, Rosv, Gus and Wheeler, they’re certainly gone but they weren’t part of the core.

My napkin math says the Rangers have about 78-80m on the books already, and the cap might be around 88m next year. So they don’t have a lot of $$ to go shopping for a RW with.

The real biggie on the horizon is Igor, who becomes a UFA after this season. The next 5-6 years of this team might rely heavily on whether they can get him signed or not.

If Trouba and Lindgren are still on the team next season, we’re not winning a thing.
