31 year old Shawn O’Donnell is a professional hockey player and a journeyman. He spent much of his summer as he has in past training with an elite group of NHLers in July and August. The Cole Harbour NS native was in the ECHL with the Allen Americans last season but has just been invited to their parent club’s main camp. The former Halifax Moosehead and St Marys Huskie received the invite Sunday and is flying to the Wild’s camp which begins tomorrow.
