I disagree with these guys a lot but I’d also love to draft Catton if he’s there at 11

Definitely an interesting list. I don’t think Catton is there at 11, but sure would be nice. Yakemchuk and Sennecke so low is definitely interesting but the rationale makes sense. I’d still be happy with either of those guys at 11.

These are no where near what my tiers would look but at the end of the day none of us know anything.

I’m very much looking at this draft, for the Sabres, as “more of the same” vs. “something different”.
I love Catton, I love Buium… But I don’t really want either (without trading the players most like them – Savoie/Ostlund, Byram) as they just add more of the same.
Sennecke, Yakemchuk, Lindstrom, Brandsegg-Nygard all have elements we lack.
And then there’s the combo-plate guys who offer a bit of what we have with some new elements – Eiserman, Iginla, Parekh, Helenius, Silayev.
I still think the Sabres will trade the pick for help, but if we keep it, I’d take a “something different” guy.
Their “dream scenario” round two guys are mostly out of fantasy land. I’d give Friej, Hutson, Hemming, and Misa a solid chance of being there at 43 (but I wouldn’t qualify any as dream for me). A few of the others could fall that far, but Helenius, Silayev, Basha, Yakemchuk, Boisvert, Solberg, Sennecke, Jiricek? I’ll say they are all gone before pick 30 with a lot of them gone before #20.
