  1. It's not over, though I saw the stat that 91% of teams that have gone up 2-0 have won the Stanley Cup. It is very likely do or die for Edmonton in game 3 since only the 1942 Maple Leafs have come back down 0-3 to win the Stanley cup so that 9% chance probably drops to <1% with a loss

Regarding Barkov, I wouldn't suspend Draisaital that still looked like a hockey hit albeit a high one. There didn't appear to be injuring intent on it so the penalty was fine, but no suspension.

  2. The additional views of that elbow shows how bad it really was. Drai is a good 4-6 inches off the ground to deliver one to the face.

  3. No mention of Tkchuck’s shameless embellishment that drew a penalty in the last minutes of the 1st period, Bouchard’s glove/ stick didn’t even touch him.

Not to mention getting away with a metric ton of slashes/ holds at any given moment. Specifically on the mcdavid breakaway. The refs were ignorant on a large portion of the game, calling soft calls (both ways) and missing blatant transgressions as well.

Agreed the panthers objectively outplayed the oilers for the whole game, but it is ignorant to not see how getting away with nearly every opportunity to get the oilers a penalty while not getting called for some egregious actions skewed the outcome of this game. 45 minutes to 12 is not a balanced representation of what happened during that game.

  4. I always thought that if you leave your feet and lead with the elbow to the head, it was a major penalty. Guess I was wrong.

  5. Good luck to Draisaitl if he's not suspended for Game 3. We'll see how you feel when you are on your back when facing the bell for that cheap shot.

  6. After watching the two games for the oilers. I think the oilers are in their heads a lot, powerplay looks like shit now, mcdavid is going solo a lot of the time going 1 on 4. Think panthers will win unless the oilers start playing as a team again lol

  7. If it was Dallas vs. Florida, this series would probably go at least 6 for sure. 19 of the last 20 series Dallas was in, went at least 6 games. The last time Dallas lost a series in less than 6 games was back in 2006

  8. So with discipline not coming… now the question is… run up the score in game three and get even in game four… or clip Draisaitl and / or Connor asap?

If you're the Oilers coach, do you hide both of them once Florida is up three goals?

  9. What bothered me was the guy attacked upwards towards the head with skates off the ice. He launched. That’s something the league has to punish for. It has to stop.

  10. I honestly feel like this could still be a close series if Drai can injure 6 or 7 more Florida players

  11. I think Panthers in 6 is a reasonable prediction at this point but if Edmonton does not Win game 3 they will be totally out of this series. The Penguins and Bruins both came back from an 0-2 start in the Stanley Cup so I won't say the Oilers are totally out of it just yet. They are on life support though because no team wants to start that way. Game 1 was a weird game that could have gone either way but the Hockey Gods gave it to Florida. I mean I can't believe how many times the Oilers shot at the Net and that Bob was able to stop all of those pucks. If Edmonton does make a comeback and some how upsets Florida I'd imagine it probably will be in 7 games. I just can't see that happening but you never know because it has been done twice in the 2000s era.

  12. To have so much written down for a series that's already determined
When was the last time you've seen the Stanley cup unveiled infront of the players?
