I will say that I traded for him on my NHL23 caps franchise and he basically won the cup for us, so there’s that 🤷♂️
Saving you the click, their proposal is: Ehlers for Alexeyev +17th overall pick.
Ehlers will turn 29 in February and is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the upcoming season. Washington would need assurance they could sign him to an extension.
Alexeyev played well down the stretch and really started to find his game. He’s also Washington’s biggest Dman and Carbery complained at the end of the year that the blueline needs to get bigger.

I love this guy’s character but I don’t know if he is the right age for what the Caps are trying to build
