In reality, I don’t know if Trotz moves him this offseason, but it’s great to see that Askarov is still highly regarded around the hockey world. Hopefully when he does become the guy in Nashville it pays off well!

It’s a bummer how the postseason has gone for him. Pretty sure Bruno/trotz are in agreement that you can’t “over cook” a goalie in the minors. It wouldn’t surprise me either way if Askarov became our number 2 with access to Mitch Korn or have him stay in the minors and split the time getting called up similar to how Saros was getting called up all the time.
Lanky is a patient saint. I’m sure Trotz is going to be answering calls about him.

Probably unpopular but I’m hoping to see Lankinen in net this season with Askarov backing him up. I think juice has paid his dues and we’re ready to move forward with the younger crew.
