well we’re here at the harbor Center in Buffalo we’re going to go talk to some prospects here at the 2024 NHL scouting combine let’s go inside [Music] hey everybody Chris Peters here from Flo hockey we’re at the 2024 NHL scouting combine it’s a week that’s always about information and final decisions every player gets interviewed every player gets tested it is a very grueling week for the prospects and we were here to document it and talk to those prospects [Music] Michael brand said neard was one of the first players through testing today it was cool to like be the first but tried to like set the St High maybe I don’t know Ry what you think of the testing today and uh what was your least favorite thing to do I think for sure the bike was the I think it wasn’t fun wasn’t H I think it was the hardest uh exercise uh dur during this combine during this day I thing but uh still yeah I tried my best we’re outside the key bang Center here where NHL teams have spent the entire week grilling NHL prospects asking them strange questions like how do you describe the color blue and things like what animal would you be we talked to some of the prospects about one of the weirdest questions they got all week long how you describe the color blue maybe but how do you deser the color blue I just said try to look up in the sky what is your Uber rating U no I have a really good one so I I use Uber a lot um it’s a 4.92 which which could be better but you know it’s kind of up there what type of animal are you a dolphin a dolphin thank you thank you yeah got a couple funny questions uh one if I was to join the Army would I be a pilot uh Medic or a sniper um so I didn’t really know too too much to think on that when I chose sniper well it’s too early to tell if any of the NHL prospects at this week’s combine are become Legends of their franchises but certainly a lot of them have a lot of confidence in their ability being ready to the NHL yeah you know I think uh I think my brain is ready already um you know maybe a little bit of uh weight in the you know lower body or whatnot and maybe tuning up a couple things but honestly like with my brain and my offensive abilities I I believe one um I try and be my own player honestly I’m trying to create uh my own like uh like yeah just be my own player but uh I think uh I play a lot like a rupe hint um just both both power forwards uh centerman uh skilled with the puck um protect the puck well um yeah um I would say that just uh understanding that uh one game doesn’t show that I’m the bad goalie and uh if I can really establish this self-confidence and stick to my stick to my routine uh do my thing and uh just again continue the work hard work on every day every game it’s the best way how I can progress and uh how can how I can be better goalie and better version of myself well it didn’t take long for them to tear everything down here at the NHL scouting combine I guess it’s time for us to make our way over to Las Vegas for the 2024 NHL draft
