Jeff Luhnow as president and Josh Daniels at GM is what they need, but Moreno isn't going to do it. It would require an entre shift of thinking. Perry has not drafted well– that's not debatable. Our minor league system is ranked last– that speaks for itself. We don't have a single position player close to stepping into an every day role– not one. Our draft taking all pitchers (except one) has not netted us anyone significant to date. Sell everyone over 25 and load up with prospects. Mike Trout is going to ask to be traded– it's inevitable as they trade his meager supporting cast– Ward, Anderson, Estevez, Drury, etc… Trout will have no chance at at the playoffs for three more years– he'll be 36-37. Caden Dana is not ready– he needs another year of seasoning. Not sure how you see our starters as a group of #3s? Sandoval has won the whopping total of 18 games over his six seasons– he doesn't win games. Canning is not a #3. Anderson, yes, but he must be traded for assets. Soriano is a future ace, but he's learning and he's had two TJ surgeries. Detmers isn't even a #5 at this point. The Angels need to position themselves for three seasons from now.
I feel like an assistant gm would be an option if they want 2 brains, like a brain for scouting and developing and one for having direction. I feel that Perry is being led by past knowledge because there’s no assistant gm.

Don't rush him, like Nate said maybe a couple starts in Sept and then see what happens in spring training. For the draft, just get the best player available.
