“Jeff’s The Perfect Teammate” | Buffalo’s Rasmus Dahlin After Skinner’s 1,000th Game, Sabres Win
yeah it was very big uh we’ve been having a lot of meetings lately um so it’s good that we um we we played good and uh we created a lot and uh Benny seems to be uh our problem how about what did mean in the third period you give up the late goal in the second they get an early power play you don’t crack and then you guys pull away and take control of the game yeah uh we came out and scored two quick goals but um I think we should have handled at the the end of the game uh way better uh we were kind of uh not playing for the last 10 minutes so so so were them I I wish uh we uh we could have pushed and then um played even better so uh but on to the next one what kicked it in in the first I mean they had some chances early and then you guys seem to take the period over what what allowed you guys to do that uh I just stay with it um I mean we had we had a lot of chances throughout the whole game um and guys were scoring today so um it was a good overall good game from us uh of course they got a early goal uh but we we battle through that and came back stronger what does it just mean about the respect you guys all showed and the organization showed for Skinner tonight and the way you guys played that game yeah that was huge uh congrats to skinny again uh and his family uh we needed that we needed that win and uh for skinny um so he can have a great night tonight after the game too with his family and uh so they can celebrate it’s uh it’s something very special do to you as a teammate uh that skinny has a thousand game or just just having him here what do he meant to you as oh yeah uh he’s been here the whole time I’ve been here uh he’s my first year uh he never let me pay for dinner once uh so he really took me and uh uh Casey midad under the his wing and he helped us with a lot of things uh and then just every year he’s uh he’s continu been such a good Pro and take care of himself uh and just been a really good guy around the team and he always brings a smile so he’s he’s the perfect teammate and um I have a lot to thank for him what’s allow in your JJ to elevate these last couple weeks and right now he’s kind of lead’s highest goal scor I guess yeah uh it’s pretty pretty crazy uh we uh he’s been he’s been grinding for a long time so I’m happy for him he’s uh he’s been working really hard uh he’s one of th those guys that uh really want to be the best one and have a l lot of respect for him so uh I’m happy he uh he finally break out and um he’s going to get even better in the future Ras just to have the power play success that you guys did tonight how much of a relief is it to kind of break the pattern that was and see things clicking again yeah uh like I said we’ve uh we’ve had a lot of talks and uh finally I trickled in we’ve been having a lot of chances uh the last whatever five games in power play but we haven’t scored and it that can create frustration but we just stay with it and uh scored really two really good goals today and uh we just got to continue to build thank [Music] you
