  1. The Canucks need to give Demko another chance, with Silovs as his backup. Silovs can play maybe 30 games in the regular season and hopefully Demko will be ready if they make the playoffs next year. They need to keep both goalies for the next 5-7 years.

  2. Demko doesn’t want to go, no one wants him to go, and I’m sure Allvin and the team laughs at the idea of trading Demko 😂😂😂

  3. I see silovs as the goalie of the future and I think we should keep our vesna goalie for a while longer and I see when the end of his contract is up we can tarde him. I don't see demko falling off hard any time soon to be fair silovs is great butI don't think he can be our starter we would have to pick up another starter. Our defence and goalitending are our stongsuits we just need to find a couple more pices and we havea cup winning team imo

  4. Trade Him to Devils 10 picked and right shot Defense Devils could unload the picked get something before his prime 5 millliion great friendly cap Benning core

  5. Trade Demko and Petey to New Jersey for both Hughes brothers, their top goalie and a top draft pick or prospect. it clears cap space for some good free agents.

  6. Unless someone is giving the Canucks a king's ransom for him. An example would be if NJD gives up one of the Hughes brothers.
Never say never, I mean Luongo has been traded before… but you need a legit superstar going the other way.

  7. I don’t think it is wise to trade Demko but if they do better get a nice return like Jack Hughes and Luke Hughes.

  8. Excellent idea ! Package him up with the 11.6M dollar golden boy and "Tire fire" Myers, for a pack of bubble gum and a bag of pucks.

  9. Way too early. Silovs wasn't even a #1 bonified starter in Abbotsford. Its a endurance game as well. Nhl season is long and I wouldn't count on Silovs being able to handle that many games.

  10. Silovs agent is rubbing his hands in glee at this thought.keep demko at least till silov is resigned to a cap freindly contract

  11. Vezna nominated goalie, cheap contract for two more years…..
    HAHAHA
Devils would need to pay a lot
Nemec and Mercer + Pick etc.

  12. Or…instead of throwing silovs right into a starting role, why don't we also take some pressure off Demko and build towards a 1A 1B at a wicked cap hit and decide what to do with Thatcher once his contracts up in a cpl years.

  13. There are just so many idiots in our fan base media side and fan side.

So far this off-season here's the stupidity I've heard and you have parroted them all

Trade Brock when his value is high, trade EP, now trade Demko Jesus .

  14. 10/10 crazy, ridiculous idea. Would you trade away a steady goalie even for the best player in the world? Look at where Edmonton is at: so close yet so far. Demko is the guy we've been looking for since McLean's heyday.

  15. Trade Petterson

11.6m can get you a lot more in return and as far as cap flexibility than a 5.0m goalie that can’t stay healthy

  16. New Jersey don’t have a top goalie…

Trade Petterson to Utah for Cooley or Guenther + this year’s first pick which is #6 overall draft a Lindstrom / Iginla / Sennecke + prospects + picks

He can twitch from Utah and not have to deal with Tocchet calling him soft.

Denko you trade once Silovs is established. Too soon to give him the reigns…

…Although maybe a Demko for Mercer and Jake Allen & #10 pick this year could be a deal worth making on Vancouver’s end

    Not sure New Jersey would

Allen is cheap 1.9m can be the 1B to Silovs 1A

  17. Trade demko. He is our second best goalie. We can definitely solve our forward and defense situation by trading him. Silovs is already better than Demko

  18. Why would you trade away your number 1 goalie when you don't have a replacement yet? This is probably the most imporatnt position in hockey. Trade him at his peak? That's the stupidest thing ever. You try to win cups when the players are at their peak, not trade them. Unless you are rebuilding you don't trade away star players who are playing well.

  19. Silovs could be that Czech guy who was picked in the 10th round and played for the Redwings…🤔 they called him the Dominator.
