Betting odds have Silayev as the favorite to be picked by us 3rd overall

2 sites that I could find have Silayev as the favorite to be picked 3rd overall. Both implying ~50% chance, followed by Levshunov and then Demidov

Draftkings: Silayev +125, Levshunov: +320, Demidov: +350: https://sportsbook.draftkings.com/leagues/hockey/nhl?category=nhl-draft&subcategory=pick-number

BetRivers: Silayev -112, Levshunov +300, Demidov: +400

I hope they pick someone no one suspects.

Put money on yakemchuk!!! Hedge with sennecke!

  4. This is the first year I’m not really sure what’s going to happen. Most years there’s some kind of consensus but it’s all over the place right now. Gonna be interesting

  5. Really hope it’s lindstrom. Surprised how low the odds are considering he’s the type of player you would think verbeek would covet.

  6. That’s who i want us to pick honestly
    Love his size

Ooo I may lay down some bets. I doubt it’s any of those names so might be a chance to make a little cash

I could be wrong but I don’t recall that many 6’7″ + players having long great careers 🤷‍♂️

Put money on Lindstrom at #3 for Anaheim

Silayev doesn’t have the slow feet of so many big men whose skis are often deflecting pucks in their own net. That and their propensity for not feeling the puck and making costly turnovers from heal passes, seems to be his issue. I change my mind on the daily. Now I think get the D with O.

From my YouTube expertise of evaluating these players /s I like Carter Yakemchuk, but The Athletic just had along article saying he is the consensus #6 best defenseman. So, I will accept their opinion. Even this morning they insist Demidov and Levshunov are alone in tier 2.

It’s all great fun really to imagine how each player helps, but the perfect fit of Levshunov to complete our D is going to be exciting.

Weirdest thing I learned this week. Guy Lafleur in his last year of Juniors scored 130 goals. Yes, I thought they meant 130 points too. Nope, 130 goals.
