  1. This is damage control by Blake for the PLD trade. Kings get 3.5 million in cap space and shed a useless 7 x 8.5 million contract while gaining a veteran presence in net. The fact that the caps did this was shocking since I thought there would be no way to get rid of PLD's terrible contract.

  2. Interesting for Caps..Coach Carbery got more out of Mantha than prior season there..he did nothing after trade to VGK..so a pretty good skill set in managing his roster. This is possibly better for everyone.

  3. Washington has confounded me this past season, so somehow PLD being functional there wouldn’t surprise me too much

  4. Can’t see that contract benefiting WSH at all. I get they don’t need Kuemper with Lindgren in the net. I guess Hunter Shepard will be the backup now then in WSH. He deserves it.

  5. This was a magic act to get rid of his contract. PLD didn't deserve that contract, Kuemper didn't deserve that contract, but nobody told Caps GMđŸ˜‚đŸ€Šâ€â™‚

  6. PDL playoff goal was he shoots the puck misses the net by three feet it bounces off three players like Happy Gilmore's final shot from the movie and it miraculously finds its way into the net. Hardly a goal to be proud of making. Glad he's out of LA he's out for $$$ not a Cup.
