Krygier and Pivonka are a no from me. Neither has impressed me in the NCAA. Cam Berg out produced Pivonka on the same team. You also have to take into account that you don’t want too many rookies in BPT. There are realistically 3 spots available there and I’d give it to Maggio, Jeffries, and Kuefler over Pivonka. And the year after you are looking at Liukas, maybe Berg, an over ager Lou always drafts, and maybe Ljungkrantz makes the jump.
I get the Krygier to Mayfield comparison but Mayfield had triple the production his last year in Denver (as a sophomore) than Krygier had in his 5th year at Michigan State. I get that he is a stay at home dman but 4 points in 28 games at that level is anemic.
With all the defencemen the Isles have in Bridgeport, I can't see the Isles signing Isaiah George. Another year with the Knights (especially after this injury riddled season) will further develop George's game…Knights have a great system. I'm excited to see what Maggio can do. He is putting up similar numbers to what Dufour did last year, but Maggio can skate. Do you think Lou goes after a College player? There is a Providence (Cizikas type of player) centreman that might be of interest. Thanks for the updates on the prospects.
