80th pick in 2019 NHL Entry Draft

anything for beckman works imo. i’d seen enough to make up my mind

  3. PaxDragoon

25 goals each of the last two seasons for Utica.

It’s an Iowa deal that brings a Waconia boy closer to home.

  4. Didn’t realize Brandt had a brother and got *very* excited for a hot sec thinking some kind of 3 way trade occurred.

Still, I think it might be a nice change of pace for Beckman and good depth for Iowa.

Now Beckman will score 25 for NJ…….

Can’t wait for the Beckman bobos to show up here and melt down….

  7. What we thinking, a nice 60-70 point warmup season?

Good for him, he was never going to get a real shot here and hadn’t really shown enough in the AHL to warrant one. Maybe something clicks for him in NJ.

No idea who this Clarke guy is but seems like he could be a good AHL scoring option.

They got Bobby Clarke?! Holy crap. I thought he was an exec now? In any case, he’ll be a good addition to a team that needs to get scrappier.

I’m more of a Beckman believer than most of this sub, but do think he needs to be in a top six role to contribute. He was starting to contribute in the bottom six last year at times and I think he can still make the NHL. Clarke may have more opportunity with the Wild because he’s a right-handed right wing, so there’s less of a logjam on the depth chart.

  11. Good thing he got a fair shot when called up. You know playing with a playmaker or two to go along with his shoot first mentality. Someone who logged at least 15 minutes a game maybe so we really got a chance to see what he could do. Oh that’s right he didnt. Oh well maybe he will actually get looked at in NJ. Just happy to see the call up, then BG “he will get his chance to prove himself” standard speech be over and done with. IMO they should have gotten rid of him a year or two ago if they were just going to put him off the 4th line for 7 minutes a game. Happy to see him go. He just didnt have enough grit for BG.

Best of luck to Beckman. Always felt like he was a victim of our LW depth, so hopefully he gets an extended look with NJ

Does this affect our deep prospect pool?
