Steve doesn’t anticipate having Mo and Raymond under contract when free agency opens 🙁

“Do you call it the Yzerplan as well?” “I don’t really use that term.”

Heard them talking about this on The Ticket before I came back into work. Sounds like the key takeaways were no plans to change the goalie situation, no deals yet for Seider and Raymond (and there won’t be before free agency), a pretty nothing response about Kane in that he’s talked to his agent, but nothing has come of it so my guess would be he’s gone, and no real plans to do anything with our pick at 15. Hopefully it’s all just a smoke screen because if our plan is roll out the same team minus Ghost and Kane, but add a year of development to the young guys, it seems like we’re in the same spot as last year if not worse. Kane would be a huge blow for the short term. Someone had mentioned Stevie said basically the same stuff last year though and then traded for DeBrincat, so take his word with a big grain of salt.

I’d listen to Stevie talk 365 days a year if possible but we learned a whole lot of nothing besides get ready to be patient for Ray and Mo.

Yzerman has zero control over this. He’s a face to sell tickets. Chris Ilitch is 1000% in charge. Wonderful.

He said was disappointed with how some veteran and young Griffins played in the playoffs. Who do you think he was talking about?
