  1. Panthers have ticked off the Hockey Gods with all of their exaggerating injuries & embellishments. Fakers don’t deserve the Cup.

  2. Man…..Greg CotΓ© runs his mouth and ruins the cup and then says Roy's not a journalist. Now the poor man is in Edmonton watching this fiasco play out. Roy deserves better.

  3. The setup to win game 7 at our house is epic. It hurts so much more to come back and tie it up only to lose in Sunrise. See ya Monday.

  4. You guys seem pretty down today. First time I saw you was after game four and you were still pretty happy, not too worried. Sorry man, it’s like my kids tell me, IT SUCKS TO SUCK. lol Enjoy game 7 and remember it’s just a game. No crying allowed.

  5. I’m an Oilers fan but I feel the Panther’s frustration. I think both teams are evenly matched and it is appropriate that they are playing in game 7 for the cup. That the Panthers almost swept the Oilers does not reflect reality. That the Oilers won 3 games in a row to force game 7 also resides somewhere in the Twilight Zone. None of this matters now. The universe is righting itself and the Super Bowl is on Monday. May the best team win.
    Good show guys!

  6. I love that comment. " very un-Panther like". Still can't figure out why people are surprised that they got dominated, spanked, schooled, humbled and given a reality check in terms of their own, perceived superiority. The Oilers have been doing this to a lot of teams, especially down the stretch and into the playoffs. Bottom line is they are getting out classed and I for one don't see them finding the answers in time.. They, along with their part-time fanbase, are getting a glimpse into The Oilers history, pride, character and the reason they were able to rattle off numerous winning streaks, including the "statement" 16 game run. The fact that they can't bring themselves, as an organization, to admit or acknowledge that they are getting outplayed speaks volumes.

" getting their shit together" as you suggested is a good start, but honestly.. does anybody really think they can somehow derail this machine and walk away with The Cup? The oilers have been trending upward pretty steeply while the Panthers have been doing the opposite. Game seven may see a hard push from them as you would expect on home ice, but I believe they will get lit up again.

Time will tell whether they can stop the bleeding or whether this truly is destined. Lets Go Oilers.

  7. Y’all are a Tatum sprained ankle from back to back historic choking πŸ˜‚. I blame Mike Ryan, he deserves this. Sorry Roy you don’t

  8. They don't have any gas in the tank left it appears..don't know if they have what it takes to get it done but we shall see..

  9. I started watching the Oilers as a little guy in my jammies back during the Gretzky era. And since then we’ve had a lot of lean years with the Oilers serving as the league farm team, unable to hold onto talent. Up here, we’re all really stoked about the turnaround since Kris Knoblauch was brought on board.

For whatever reason, this vid just landed in my feed and I’m glad it did.

Roy and David, your analysis is incisive and your style is both professional and a lot of fun to watch. Subbed.

  10. Its because you misread actually how well the Oilers played in those first 3 games but were snakebit … no excuses, but many potential goals were there but not in the net.
You guys were already planning the parade with the cup and didn't realize you were playing the Edmonton Oilers. Once they calibrate their opponents, look out!!! They are truly humble as well, whereas I was surprised by a great deal of arrogance coming that way. Then they solved the blockade methods of Panthers and then they see the Oilers as they are and like I said how they were all throughout games in this series but closing the circuit! Electrifying!!! Exciting offensive and Defensive juggernaut. But all due respect to Florida and their methodology. Your coach was asked about hus tactics and if adjustments were needed and i was shocked to hear him at the 3 to 2 game mark…that he was sticking with what got the Panthers to that point…arrogance of sorts. He was outcoached … his autobiography will have to have the last pages rewritten IF the Oilers deliver which is of course, yet to be seen. May the best team win! Go Oilers!!!

  11. The difference has been that the Oilers have been consistently willing to take the hit to make a play, whereas some of the Panthers have been going out of the way to make a hit – taking themselves out of position. The Oilers have been outhit every game, but don't retaliate except by scoring.

  12. "A new angle that no one else has seen". It's Florida for crying out loud, sounds like a Mar-a-Lago defence !!πŸ€πŸ˜‚

  13. Here me out. (saw this post and am so glad the algorithm didn't filter it cause I don't get enough "other" perspectives on politics. I want to hear both sides. Ok, @LeBatardShow you make a great point on the offside. However, I saw the clip, was the right call. First theory, Maybe a producer had the angle and sent to Oil staff?

HOWEVER, if you recall, which game..? (1,2 or 3 idk), but all four officials on the ice missed a glaring over-the-glass penalty which would have given Oil a lengthy 5v3, Panthers converted, we lost. TSN turning point.

My second theory is refs are managed by a shot caller (not as bad as NBA, but hockey different) and they got their pee-pees slapped for such an egregious no-call, they were told to give a freebie of equal value, to Edmonton? Either way, that turning point in game 6 is justified considering (imo)

  14. As a long-time show fan w/o a horse in this race [like intern Mike Shur I'm a disgruntled ex-Whaler fan], I'm torn. I really want the Cats to win for Roy and Chris, but after weeks of this new smarmy personality shtick the thought of Mike Ryan being happy turns my stomach… I guess I'd rather see Roy and Chris happy and will just put up with Ryan.
Isn't he due for a vacation, like 'til 2037 or so?
