In this Video, I discuss Brett Pesce Free agent Defenseman from the Carolina Hurricanes attracting alot of interest heading into free agency. 2 Teams looking at Signing him are the New Jersey Devils & Toronto Maple Leafs. with the recent Jakob Markstrom trade the NJ Devils traded out Kevin Bahl who was a big promising Defenseman for the Devils and with Frank Seravelli saying the Devils are looking at bringing in 2 Defenseman Pesce could be one of them.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have been lacking a stable shutdown right shot D for a long time, can Pesce solve those needs and play in a Craig Berube style of hockey

First! Lets go devils!
Brett Pesce seems like a Ryan Graves type player, which is what I think we sorely need!
Forget Brent Pesce….
Sign JOE PESCI !
Talented and experienced. A slight upgrade over Marino. However, we need LD more (preferably with grit). I won't complain if NJ gets him, but I think other d fit better for the cap space and team need.
Edit: To clarify, slight improvement over '22-'23 Marino. Larger improvement over '23-'24 Marino.
The Leafs are going to sign EVERYONE!!
Either Pesce or Necas from Carolina would be great
I must disagree somewhat here. The Devils DID NOT have any defensive structure last year and somehow blamed goaltending for their woes. Alot of it was not the Goalies fault. We need a solid defensive system and a much deeper Offensive attack form a physical standpoint. Namely a Power Center and some relentless forecheckers for the 4th Line. Cannot underestimate the affects of losing McLeod. We also need two veteran D-men. They do not have to be high priced but we cannot in all fairness ask a 21- and 22-year-old kids to log major minutes and contend. The Key at this moment is Marino and Siegs. If neither one of them Rebound from last year's god awful seasons, then the problem may persist.
A player with the name Pesce playing in Newark would be very popular. 😊
Pesce is good but his game has been on the decline. The Canes even cut his ice time by a couple minutes last year.
