I don’t think I’d want to trade TK and 12 for Demidov but that’s just me. Would rather trade Laughton and our late first/next years seconds for 11 or 7 and get two guys. Yakemchuk and Catton is my dream scenario.

I don’t get it, I would think this would be a move us fans would want. Imagine the two best Russian prospects in years on the same line. Demidov is projected to be a stud. We’d still get 2 picks in the first next year if the decided to trade TK or we could trade on of our firsts next year. This scenario all depends on someone being willing to do this. I’d have to think hard and long about it if it was offered. We’d have our next Lindros and LeClair, our Lemieux and Jagr, our Forsberg and Sakic. I’m in.

I hate the trade Konecny talk. The guy is wired to be a flyer. High end skill with edge. Every team in the league wants a Konecny. We have some strong prospects in the pipeline. Konecny is still young. Why wouldn’t we want to keep him to see this through.

So TK (a damn good, proven reliable player), a top 10 pick and the 12 for the chance to draft Demidov? That’s just delusion lol… these types of trades never happen and for good reason

Some of you guys don’t realize just how talented Demidov is. He is one of the few guys in this draft with real superstar potential. He is a player worth taking a swing on and certainly could be worth more than 2 other guys 7-15. I say that as someone who loves Catton and some of the other guys in that range. Demidov is that good.
That being said, I highly doubt this is true unless Demidov slips out of the top 5.
