Andrew Cogliano knows what it takes to put in a full season in the NHL, and he decided 17 years of blood, sweat and tears was enough to call it quits. An iron man, workhorse of a player decided to retire on his own terms and accept a position in the front office with the Colorado Avalanche. So while he will be missed on the ice, he begins a new role of helping the team he last played for.

  1. My favorite Cogliano Avalanche memory was game 2 in the finals. He was just back from hand surgery and was on the penalty kill. He got a loose puck and immediately passed it over to Manson as they broke away for the short-handed goal. Such a tough and dependable teammate.

  2. This'll be a bit of a lenghty comment but over all there's 2 things

1.) Vals a tough one because you know he's good on ice but off ice his reliability is questionable therefore i didn't give him a grade personally. Although ill say chris's assessment seems fair.

2.) Lets talk about the storylines for game 7

Panthers: stave off the reverse sweep and win their first ever cup in franchise history and they bring it back to florida for the 3rd time in four years.

Oilers.) After a disastrous start to the season they bounce back, they complete the reverse sweep, their new coach wins the cup his first year, mcdavid wins his first cup, they bring it back to canada, end the oiler cup drought, and lets be honest but it will most likely happen infront of Gretzky himself so he can congratulate mcdavid in person.

Not gonna say the NHL is rigged but if it was then i think I'd know which team they'd choose lmao.

  3. About Cogs. His cup speech must have been legendary. Was awesome to see him raise the cup. Also players like Cogs want to play with MacKinnon and company.
