Conn Smythe Award should never go to a losing player because he is a losing loser who lost.
Rod Brind’amour should be in the Hall of Fame as a player. His number is retired by two teams.

Re: Conn Smythe: while McD is certainly worthy of acknowledgement, he had "off nights" throughout the playoffs and some games he was barely noticeable. If "Bob" loses out on the award because of a few bad games in the pipes, that is a travesty. He deserved the award IMHO.
Re: Oilers: they had a great run and Skinner proved he can play and be relied on in the clinch BUT they still need to retool their "D". They need to improve on the back end if they are ever going to win the Cup.
Re: HHOF: Poile and Campbell are a "shoe in". Weber, Datsyuk YES!!!! Roenik I could take or leave! Mogilny……yes!!!!!

Don't understand how Weber gets in when he's still under contract. He was never the same player after he was traded to the Habs.
Would a Matt Roy sign and trade, plus Alex Kaliyev, be enough for the LA Kings to land a sign and trade Jakob Chychrun? Would either team/player consider such a contract?

Jeremy Roenick is my all time favorite American born player. I just loved watching that guy. He was tough as nails and highly skilled. Congratulations to him and to the other HoFers and congrats to Florida and big props to Edmonton. Cheers from Ottawa🍁
MIKHEYEV for TROUBA, NY hold $3m of Troubas salary. Canucks get a D and NY get lots of speed, same cap and length of contract.
Cujo should be in the HHOF especially if Luongo got in and I mean Shea Weber is already on the Hall's Injured List.
Kakko is definitely going to get moved, and i bet he wants to traded at this point. There's no future for him in NY. He got benched in the playoffs again, and he had all year to grab the RW1 spot with Wheeler going down and when Chytil came back he got more time at RW1 than Kakko. it's a shame, i like the kid and i was really hopnig he'd breakout like LAffy did this year, but it just doesn't seem to be in the cards and a change in scenery seems to be in order. As for TRouba…who wants that contract? he's not going to get any better. he was dogwater in the post season for all sorts of reasons so we are going to have to retain most of his salary to move him. As for Lindy…that one is tough. He is the exact kind of player you want but how much longer can he maintain? unless he changes his game he is literally going to fall apart in another season or two. And we have a lot of young defensemen we need to bring up or else move out so…
If thrre aren't any other better potential owners in ARZ, I'd look for groups in Houston, Quebec City , Atlanta and Kansas city.
Hope Chycrun is the guy that doesn't go…….. Sanderson is a true Number 1 and I think that would be a problem with Chabot, especially on the power play. It seems that Chabot has a lot of "dainty" injuries where as Chychrun is a true number 2 defenseman that was able to play full sked last year.
I'd love to see this:
Sanderson Weegar (swap 7th for 9th pick, Chabot and…then draft Eiserman at 9)

Stop Helping the New york Rangers by bailing them out on horrible contracts their GM signed the players for . Its unbelievable how that team "fits" everyone under the cap . Goodrow should still be there keeping them in cap hell , NOBODY NEEDS CHEAP SHOT TROUBA ON THEIR TEAM WITH THAT AWFUL CONTRACT !!!!!
