Shea Weber penalty on Kesler in Game 3 OT

Kevin Bieksa takes a hit from behind (no call) and then Shea Wener takes a penalty that leads to Ryan Kesler’s OT goal in Game 3 between Nashville and Vancouver.

  1. what about the unwritten rule of playoff OT hockey…"unless its murder, you’re not supposed to call a penalty in playoff overtime hockey"

  2. @pissed7off
as I said im okay with the penality, but its more than obvious that kesler was holding his stick. It takes Weber like 5 seconds to get his stick back…

  3. @reobrokerguy His stick is parallel to the ice and it's in Kesler's gut. The reason why it looks like he's holding the stick is because he's simply trying to have two hands on his stick, which is hard when Weber's giving him all the hooking he can handle. The ref made the right call.

  4. I have to say i was pretty bummed by this call. They let so much worse go in overtime and they call this… Heck on of the Canucks stopped a Preds scoring chance by rolling himself onto the puck. Weber could've let go of his stick altogether and it would've never hit the ground

  5. fuckkk, i hate when players hold the stick to draw a penalty nowdays .. anything to get a penalty i guess.

  6. Hit on Bieksa is pretty clean… sometimes maybe called a penalty to some refs.. the one that was called a penalty is pretty marginal… this time called a penalty.. Preds fans suck it up, your team is fucking garbage anyway.

  7. its Vancouver, they always complain about calls that they dont get even if they arent a penalty and they always defend the calls they do get even if its not a penalty.

  8. Well if the refs did their job properly and called the blatant call, they wouldn't look stupid in calling this.

  9. @titansnascarfan11 you do realize that the Preds are the #1 or #2 biggest divers in the league. The Preds got away with murder during this series and against the Ducks. Also, the Canucks had +3 more penalties in the series against a dirtier Preds team. In closing, the Preds are a horrible team that can only win by drawing fake penalties.

  10. I was at this game, It was bullshit. There needs to be a ref upstairs, just like the goal judge, who can overturn calls on the ice.

  11. @CountSlippers dont you think that might make the game a bit long if people are looking at, re-evaluating, analyzing, and judging every call that has already been made

  12. @CheStillFighting Not every call, but calls that have controversy like this one. The refs were standing in the little crease or whatever talking about it. They knew that they blew the call.
