Panthers need to resign Brandon Montour. His numbers dipped a bit this year so hopefully they can get a team-friendly deal

This cup final was my version of 2011 my favorite team is the Oilers but my second favorite is the Panthers. I am so happy that Florida won but I still would have rather seen the Oilers win but that’s just me.
Cats fan here – I think Reinhart should be resigned but only at a home town discount. 57 goals was great and he should be good for 45+ next year but we need to keep this team above all mentality. I would let Cousins, Mahura, and Okposo walk. Okposo should retire on top. Lundell is an easy signing. The unknowns are Montour and Stenlund for me. Our defense won us this cup and they were both a big part of that. However, Montour regressed for me in these playoffs. I felt he was a liability on the PP this year and his offensive production dropped a lot. Honestly, I love the guy but Ekblad's contract is an albatross. If we can run it back with almost the same team I am good with that…
To anyone of the "not a sustainable market" argument… Florida is a tax free state. The Panthers were never moving anywhere. And never will. There's probably a better chance of FLA getting a third team than losing a team.

I am an original Panthers fan, played thirty years, and was there last year in the Final and this year in the Final and was at Game 7. Shout out to all the original Cats fans and our long, long journey, and special shout out to that original generation of Florida-grown hockey players who finally can make anyone in this league back off. The northern USA and Canada have no monopoly on hockey. May the rest of you eat all the crap you dished out at us over the decades. Florida in seven. Eat it, snow birds.
Lundell 17 points in playoffs, dont downplay hes value to team..
If Reinhart went to market they could pick up another player that may not perform quite like he did but give them good production for less over cap. A player like Ehlers from the jets comes to mind as there’s been ample talk about him being traded this offseason. But I do think it’s more likely Reinhart stays in Florida

Why are the florida teams so good .
1) Their rosters are overflowing with top level players willing to take team friendly deals. They want to play in a state with low taxes rather than hand over their millions to a bunch of corrupt a-holes in D.C. and castro's illegitimate love child ,(trudeau)
2) florida is a pretty nice place to raise a family. No, not because of the weather, unless you like hurricanes,. Its actually a family friendly state because it is run mostly by decent conservative politicians rather than overly tolerant middle class hating secular progressives.
Until Canada admits that their 7 teams are on the top of every player's no trade list because of their totally illegal taxes and their governments hatred of the traditional family unit, they will never get enough talent willing to play for a Canadian team.
