Everyone is saying the leafs being upset means there’s truth to the rumour, but what if they’re trying to actually maintain a good relationship with Marner.
There’s been reports every which way but some have said they’re trying to work on an extension with Marner. If you’re trying to do that and convince him to stay here despite the fans and media treatment then something like this rumour undermining you would be extremely frustrating

A trade is in everyone interest. Cause do we really wanna deal with 8 more years of this bs. It’s only with Marner that these sorts of shenanigans seem to occur. It’s better for the team and better for Marner too. He can go play somewhere else and be the guy for his team and have less pressure.
