We look at their lack of quality goalies on roster, but also discuss today’s rumors that John Gibson is on the block and Detroit being involved in discussions for him. We look at what could be a big hurdle for the Wild to send Gustavsson to Detroit in Ville Husso’s contract, and why Anaheim could easily take it on as a short term timeshare with Lukas Dostal. We move to the Jets looking to move Rutger McGroarty after his decision to return to Michigan without a clear path to the NHL level with the Jets. We discuss whether the 13th pick, Marco Rossi or otherwise would get it done, and why it may be worth monitoring if the Wild don’t see the draft board go their way. We finish by discussing the Utah Hockey Club’s pursuit of top 4 defensemen, and why the Wild could have potentially helped them out if not for their defensive prospects not being ready for NHL playing time yet.
