[Music] hey it’s Manny from the Bruins Benders podcast morning is with Manny good morning all and the Bruins are back in the first round of the 2024 NHL draft they do get the 25th pick back after trading it for Tyler bzi they have it back now they’re back in the first round desperately need another really good Prospect and there’s some people out there although it’s a rather thin draft after the first eight or 10 picks but there may some meat on the bone there at 25 and here’s the first candidate which could be Sasha boyert he’s ranked 20 in the inside the rink.com rankings of draft pick prospects boyb is boyb is a natural goal scorer shows his abilities to score both from a distance and from right around the blue paint he’s also known for his great passing abilities and during the 23 24 season with the Lumberjacks of the U USHL he put up 68 points points in 61 games 36 goals 32 assists so the Bruins could use some scoring particularly in that Prospect group Boyer could be a guy who could slip to them potentially at 25 uh next up on the list number 32 on the inside of the Inc rankings Cole Bordan and he is in the OHL with a Barry Colts 28 goals 34 assists for 62 points in 67 games and there is nothing really Elite about bwi’s game but however he does everything well and maybe a sleeper in the draft he’s a player who resembles the play of a Boston Bruins Legend dare we say Patrice berson a talented player 200 foot game good work ethic good solid kid so maybe bdan is there for Boston at 25 next candidate how about number 34 on the draft rankings this is a guy I really like from what I read Jet luchenko he replaced Matt ptra essentially with the G stor of the ol with 20 goals and 54 assists for 74 points he’s only 17 years old 511 183 he’s a center and he’s an elite NHL Prospect who’s climbing the charts may not even be there at 25 frankly but he does have a really good high hockey sense and IQ and excellent playmaking skill next guy on the list number 37 in the inside the rank rankings Dean Lono big big kid foot7 209 he played with the triaa team the under 18 St Andrews College he decided to go prep instead of going onto the ol and he had 67 goal 61 goals and 66 assists for 127 points in just 56 games he’s an enormous kid on the ice but has excellent hockey offensive skill and could be a sleeper in the draft and a real project for for Boston and then finally a little bit of a sleeper pick down the list 47 is marrick vaner but but keep an eye on this kid because he has some of what the Bruins like he sort of has a an all sort of encompassing skill set uh he doesn’t have anything real elite but he does have some offensive skill that’s developing and a goal scoring ability as well he had 36 goals 46 assists for 82 points for Branford Bulldogs of the OHL he’s 6 foot 165 so still filling out a left wing with a left shot so vaner could be a guy they dig a little bit deeper down the list and maybe an offthe chart kind of pick for Boston which they’ve done in the past so the Bruins draft is coming up and it’s coming up Friday night and they will be drafting in the first round have a great day everybody and go Bruins
