Outside of NOT trading neither Hill nor LT, should we get Brossoit again and run another goalie carousel that helped with our injuries in 22-23?

Teams don’t carry 3 healthy goalies. None of them would clear waivers. Nor would any of them sign up for a 3 goalie rotation if it were even possible.

The only reason it happened 2 years ago is because at least one was always hurt.

I think it’s entirely dependent on price. Realistically, Brossoit and Stolarz (just as examples) probably want to be at minimum, a backup on a given team. Teams really don’t carry 3 goalies. We lucked out on the cup run because Brossoit was in the AHL due to coming off injury AND him clearing waivers.

Unless we can bury a fringe starter in the AHL, I don’t think a 3rd goalie of at least backup caliber is in the cards. The market outside of Brossoit/Stolarz isn’t pretty.

We have entirely too many other things to spend money on.

Are we losing Patera? He was a pretty good backup goalie during the injuries

  5. I think right now the biggest area of focus is what is going on right now with Marchi. Especially if Friday comes and he is not resigned. On top of that, IF he happens to do so, there is still the matter of Stevie and Theo

Brossoit is too good to waive, he’d never make it. He only snuck through last year because of his injuries and how capped out the league was. Stashing a guy like him in Henderson was a pretty unique circumstance.
