Love this trade for the Hawks. Get a couple big bodies to protect Bedard and a second for the the Cap space!! All day.

Guentzel at 11 mill is a bit steep in my opinion.
Wouldn't surprise me. Ever since Jim Rutherford became President of Hockey Operations for the Canucks they've been grabbing up ex-Penguins. Blueger, Cole, DeSmith, Friedman, Lafferty.

Guentzel ain’t worth more then 10 million he’s already 29 and never scored more then 90 points
Van doesn’t need 7.5 mil cap hit for a 3rd line center. I’m sure Lindholm is gone… I’d be mostly okay with Guentzel, but I think they should give Toffoli a shot as well as re-up Myers for cheap and snatch up Dillon as well. I’d be okay with Bertuzzi over Guentzel if it came down to it.. Perhaps Montour would look good if he wasn’t more than 7 mil per year. Either way, I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.

If I’m Vancouver I’m going all in on Guenzel, Vancouvers PDO was crazy high this season especially on XG’s 169 compared to goals 187. I’m not saying they miss the playoffs but they might come down a bit. Guenzel really helps stabilize Vancouver.
