I know he’s not a silver bullet like we once hoped he’d be, but I’d be so excited to see him back. He was just so fun to watch. I like our team, but Buff and Him were such a treat to watch like no one else. The power play with them both is my favourite Jets thing ever, with Stas Prime Wheels and Schief.

  2. jiggerdad

If he can grow up and accept not being on the top line and learn to step up his defence. I think we could accept him back, maybe if Columbus retained some of his salary.

  3. He is not what the Jets need and people who think so are being distorted by nostalgia

  4. QuinnTheEskimo204

Now that Wheeler’s gone it could be a good fit.

  5. MBBluemangroup

Honestly, I feel like the team’s performance declined after that trade, even though we improved in the end

  6. battlelevel

If Columbus retained money I’d be interested for sure.

  7. I still see a lot of #29 jerseys everywhere at the Peg. Lots of people will be happy. I would personally be indifferent

  8. Sleeman13

Lets fucking go; this is the first domino to fall into our Threepeat Cup Championship reign.

And I have it on good authority that I am now going to masturate until post nut clarity hits me in to realizing this is depressingly never going to happen even though I know its not what’s best for the team. Come home Patty. That’s my toxic trait.

  10. It could be interesting if Laine is interested in rejoining the Jets. But wouldn’t Columbus have to retain salary or throw in a sweetener?

  11. waitwhosaidthat

I called it at work that he would come back. Lol.

If he comes back and has a rebound season it would be an amazing story.

  12. Spiritual_Holiday511

This would make a lot of Laine jersey owners very happy. I’m not one of them, but it’d make me happy too, assuming he’s headed this way at 50% retained.

  13. PorqueNoLosDose

*I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of MILFs suddenly cried out in pleasure.*

  14. Come back Laine, we never really wanted you to leave in the first place.

  15. TubularWinter

It’s always tough when your heart and your head tell you two different things.

  16. ottereckhart

You ***have*** to find a way to keep Ehlers here as well. They are still really good friends, it would be so good for both of them and I feel strongly that it would be a big deal for Laine having Ehlers around. It’s probably a big reason why he’s interested.

Bros and sis’s we just gotta keep Ehlers regardless or I’m done with the jets I think.

  17. I don’t even care how bad an idea this would be I would bust a fat nut

  18. Sheeple_person

They can’t possibly bring back Patty and trade away Nik right?

  19. Man I was so upset when he left. That last game against the Flames was such a banger. I’m sure a lot of people here would love to have him back, including myself.

  20. BillClintonsMistress

Mcgroarty, Lucious, Schmidt, ‘24 2nd for Laine and Jiricek. Let’s goooooooooo

  21. Fallen-Omega

That would be fuckn nuts, however….are we going to be in the same loop where Connor gets his spot and Laine would be second fiddle again, or would the line be Laine-Schief-Connor…..because if so…..LAWDDDD

  22. MoNa-Luke

Absolutely not. Dude is a bust. Great person, not a great hockey player.

  23. buzzgrant

No thanks. Already gave him a chance. He’s nothing like the draft pick one ahead of him🤣

  24. For the right price** I would take a chance on Laine

  25. danwaters204

Jets fans still hold him in pretty high regard too.

  26. Embarrassed-Crazy178

Tough guys win cups. He’s not tough enough.

  27. bannedredditaccount2

Best shot in the league but he needs a set up man. The power play would be a guaranteed goal.
    Imagine the fucken power play:
    – sheiffle
    – vilardi
    – monahan
    – laine
    – morrisey

    I have a throbbing boner

  28. WlNNIPEGJETS

Please tell me this isnt Media conjecture. I would be so Happy.

  29. FeistyTie5281

He made some great plays and was fun to watch at times.

No way he helps the team get better than it was last year. Jets miss Tanev and Copp much more than Laine.

  30. AnnoyedYamcha

If Laine comes back I’ll cry out of happiness
