  1. It changed when Waddell hit Columbus. We will see what he does. Waddell can do it out of spite.. or tactics.. for him to know who the habs want.. Demi or Lindstrom.
Though Waddell would probably pick Eiserman. ;p

  2. I think San Jose traded up to 11 (I think itโ€™s 11) to get eiserman. The forwards out there on the trade block have too high of an asking price on them,Zegras, Necas etc. the ask was Ghule/Reinbacher plus plus, thatโ€™s crazy. I think the habs need to get Liane and I donโ€™t think it would cost too much. If MTL is trading for him it likely includes a young D in that case maybe Columbus drafts a forward then. The habs should try to do whatever they can to draft Eiserman. Goal scoring is what the habs lack above all else and if they can find a way to add Liane and Eiserman without giving up, pick 5, Hutson, Xhekaj or Ghule then they have to make it happen. Obviously Suzuki, coke and the top 6 arenโ€™t included either

  3. Early second round pick to move up 3 spots? Thatโ€™s a move you make during the draft when you know whatโ€™s up. Damn. Risky.

  4. I canโ€™t disagree with that tweet more. Itโ€™s pretty clear that Demidov is going to Chicago given that they just traded for a Russian vet.

  5. If Demidov is gone really hope we take Eiserman you can't teach goal scoring like you can teach defense. 92 goals in 88 games is absolutely absurd.

  6. Grantstredamus !!! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  7. Demidov and slaf would be a perfect pair imo, for the habs sake, i hope it works out. Future top line players. Just need Dach to break out at that point, or suck for one more season and get a #1 center.

  8. This draft couldnโ€™t have arrived slower, it feels like Iโ€™ve been waiting for it for months and Iโ€™m a Bruins fan whose team doesnโ€™t even have an amazing pick

  9. ATTITUDE & MATURITY trumps everything else. In my honest opinion.
As we've seen in the cases of MATVEI MICHKOV & SHANE WRIGHT. And the persistent rumours of possible PLD, LAINE or ZEGRAS acquisitions. And even going as far back as, dare I say it, PK SUBBAN. Also, just in my opinion.
I think the Habs are doing a good job of trying to avoid any and every player that might be or become any type of locker room cancer or team distraction. And I could NOT be more on board!

I'm not interested in Regular season accolades and achievements as much, as I'm sure any other true fan would agree, more than team building for the playoffs. And I believe they are on the right track. And on top of that, they seem to be taking steps to assure a future of long time success as opposed to a couple of post season runs and that's it. They've got to build an atmosphere of contending every year for a long time. Like Pittsburgh, Colorado, and well, yes, even Boston. It's WAY easier said than done. But the first commandment should be patience at first. A continued growth year to year is all we should be really expecting and hoping for from this good young core they have now, and coming in. It's exciting to tell you the truth. I haven't been this involved in MTL's development and prospect pool ever I think.

All that being said, this years draft picks to me are question marks once again. Quite a few players seem to have made their cases just in the past year or less. While the ones who were in the top ten or 5 for the longest have been leap frogged. I've been a Cole Eiserman supporter for a long time now. And I will admit that some players have now crept into my conscience as possibly much better choices like Demidov and Lindstrom . And possibly even Iginla. BUT, I will say this. No matter WHO, the HABS end up drafting, I will be keeping a close eye on where and how Cole Eiserman turns out. No one has captured my imagination as much with his pure goal scoring proficiency for his entire career as much as he has. A goal a game average over his entire life, at every level and every single tournament and every single team. No serious nagging injuries. No controversies or immaturity issues to speak of. No news at all really. Just a quiet kid it seems who plays and scores, every, single, game.
So I will surely be keeping my eye on how he responds to the pros in the next chapter of his career.
I am ALSO very excited to possibly have a DEMIDOV or LINDSTROM join the team though.

  10. I DON'T WANT LINDSTROM. Apart from being big, he doesn't have a great hockey sense and he has got a bad back. His style of play works well in the minors but in the NHL, he's going to be just another Josh Anderson. He will not be a center, he doesn't have enough talent or puck handling skills. He is just… big And because he doesn't have that much TALENT, I fear that the Habs will pick him specifically for that. The Habs have a twisted mentality that makes them prioritize non talented players. Maybe it's a salary cap thing.. they need to pay Carey Price's contract or something.
