Leafs are trash
I get a strange feeling that the leafs might not even see the first round, let alone lose in it.
Canes got rid of both their goalies. Wow. Strange.
You would have had to watch 0 of Freddie’s games the last two seasons to say they are weaker with mrazek. Maybe freddy will bounce back but he has been awful the last couple years and Mrazek has been solid. I’ll take Campbell Mrazek over Campbell Anderson thank you very much.
Leafs are not better than 4th place in their division then it's another 1st round exit cuz they'll play TB or FLA then dumbass and his coachbitch will be slinking back to the Soo

I CALLED IT. GREAT IDEA. Goalie here. I really don't think people should decide what's good when it comes to who's better in net unless you've played the position for at least 10 years.
Disagree with the panel Freddie Andersen played 5 years in the playoffs and if he is as good as they say he is why didnt co he steal one series. Mrazek was on some poor teams in Detroit while Andersen played on some solid teams, Structure can be overated, see Hasek who had some of the best seasons of any goalie ever had.
Even that other Canes goalie……David Ayres would be an upgrade over Andersen.
Leafs will do what the Leafs. Don’t matter who’s in net.

I don't know about that, but Freddie wasn't the problem. The Leafs simply aren't a very well balanced team. They're way too top heavy. Their depth was poor last year, and worse this year. You can't put this on the goalie. Maybe he had a down year last year, but in those cases, don't you expect the rest of the team who are also paid huge salaries to pick up the slack and bail him out like he does with them when they're having a downer? I'm not saying Mrazek will be worse than Andersen, but when you've got a very imbalanced team that is way easier to shut down offensively in the playoffs, these things happen. Just ask Edmonton. They have the same problem and don't think my team, the Canucks will be entirely immune from that next year, either. And with Hyman gone, Toronto could be worse after losing a such a gritty top 6 forward. Tampa has won back to back because they've drafted and developed well, had guys up and down the lineup who can contribute, the best goalie and best d-man in the game, and honestly, they've been able to put guys on IR for most of the season so they can add to their roster so that by the time the playoffs start, there are no cap constraints so they're completely stacked. That's really smart GMing. I don't see anyone in Canada really doing that – probably because Canadian hockey fans like myself tend to be purists and using that kind of loophole is seen as cheating. But hey, if it's there, use it. It's not as if the refs aren't cheating to help American teams with their "game management" stuff. But the bottom line is, the Leafs won't get better until they have depth. You can't win with 3 superstar forwards, 1 top pairing D and a bunch of borderline NHL grinders anymore. At this point in Toronto it's not the goaltending that needed fixing.
Dubas keeps saying Campbell is the starter, making 1.65M. Well wtf is he gonna do if he actually does take the reigns and earns a big pay bump? THEY CAN'T AFFORD IT!! If Mraxek does end up as the backup hes making a hefty 4M. More stupidity and cap mismanagement. The only thing stable about this franchise is early playoff exits and the 4 guys that make 40M.
Leafs need a goalie like Carey Price..they also need defence..this is definitely a week spot…A Goalie like Carey price can steal you a game..Toronto has not had decent defence for quiet some time.

Leafs lineup looks worse than last year, and Mrazek is no help. Wait till these 2 hit the IR it will get bad. Thanks Dubas, you clown. Go spend more money.
