  1. Sentimentally a great choice. But Simon the Snake Boisvert ex NHL Scout, is just podcasting that he does not have 1/10th of his dad's intensity. Unlike Tij Inginla according to Boisvert Aatos lacks grit. Time will tell

  2. Fantastic selection! Koivu!!!!! A legendary CH player's son…..C'mon!!!! Kent and the CH Front Office are solidifying themselves as arguably one of the absolute best management groups in all of hockey and major sports for that matter! And our coach oozes class and demands respect with his "Lead by Example" character! My beloved Canadiens will be a top 5 team in about 2 years. It's only a matter of time before they have a chance to compete for and hoist the greatest trophy in all of sports! I cannot wait for this season to begin!!!

  3. Kent Hughes is absolutely on a tear with this draft, first We robbed the NHL of Demidov and now we got the legendary Saku Koivu's son!

  4. In the third round this is perfect. I heard people wanting to pick in with the 21st, that would have been a mistake. Third is where I thought he would get drafted. I feel great with this pick for his work ethic alone.

  5. This might be a bit too optimistic but i honestly see him being better than Saku one day. He’s got the same kind of vision and playmaking but much better shot. Gonna take a while when he grows into his full potential but when he does.. canadiens will have amazing player

  6. Was never a fan of Saku Koivu whose best goal production was 22 goals in a season. He reminds me of the nightmare days of a popgun offence Gainey decimated Montreal's team to. I think he only played 13 seasons with Montreal and had 3 twenty goal seasons during that span.

I think this kid will never be an NHL'er because the kids coming up are skilled and can put the puck in the net.

I want to be entertained watching high scoring games involving skilled players, not games that put you to sleep.

  7. He was slated for the 3rd round and I wanted him anyway. Him being a Koivu is just a bonus.

  8. Can't help but smile at this, being a Finn. For you english speakers btw, "Aatos" means thought/idea/musing in finnish. It's a pretty rare, old and classic sounding name. The word is mostly used in poetry these days, makes for a good name for a beloved child 😊
