  2. I predicted a 4 to 3 fla win. Was kinda predictable. Is too hard to come all the way back takes tooo much work and energy to get it done

  3. Some disappointing play from some… Again. And little puck luck.

See you in a few months man, enjoy the rest of your summer.

  4. Patrick thank you for all of your coverage. You’ve done a great job. It is so appreciated. We are in Kuala Lumpur for 2 months and have followed every game as well as your podcast. Enjoy your vacation!

  5. Thank you Patrick For the Amazing Content on your channel
I know Will be back for next Playoffs & Will Pull of a Cup
There's a Dynasty I can sense in this core & I believe in this team more then anything
Can't wait for our new GM & Free Agency

  6. Not the end result we wanted but still a great comeback story since the 2018-19 St Louis Blues made the playoffs after being near dead last in the league after New Year's, capped off with a 16 game win streak heading into the All-Star break, and 5 series comebacks in the playoffs this year (3 to tie, 2 to take the lead/win).
They'll be ready to win it all come October, like the Panthers were after coming short in last year's Finals. Don't know who will be staying and who will be going come at least Friday at the draft or next Monday in Free Agency, and who may be hanging up the skates and calling it quits on professional hockey, but should be an interesting off-season.

  7. Hi Patrick and all Oilers fans from Germany! It is now 7:27am here and we do have a wonderful sunshine here. Boyz you played an epic series, with a phenomenal come back, but today you are out of the luck, you need to win the cup. It was an open game and the last 10 minutes you close them in their own zone like having a Powerplay, but the puck won't pass big Bob again. Congrats to the sunny Boyz for winning the cup for the first time of their franchise history. Next season is coming up, heal your bodies and souls, go on training and do it next time! I am very proud of you!!! Cheers of you and the next season…

  8. Thanks for the great season of Oilers news and information. Looking forward to the news of the offseason.

  9. Proud of the boys . Congratulations to 97 on the Conne Smyth. The Con Man has kept the cup in the US but the boys were as close as 2 goals from the cup. Thanks for your work on my favorite channel and my breakfast information. 44 years living in 4 different provinces a territory and a different country behind this team !

  10. Thank YOU. Always classy and informative. We appreciate. Tough loss. Yet this long 23/24 season and journey to the end of the line has only solidified my enthusiasm for Edmonton Oilers hockey (and that’s from an American hockey fan – go figure, *shrug).
    ✨🟠🔵🤘

  11. Oh the things we've seen this year. So many emotions all across the spectrum. We watched them fall apart. We watched them pull themselves out of it. We watched them commit to defense. We watched them jab a guy in the nuts with a stick on purpose. We watched them win ugly games. We watched them win the conference. We watched them fall apart again. We watched Holloway and Broberg step up to the big leagues and shine. We watched Henrique, Brown and Janmark explode into being difference makers. And finally we watched them climb back up again and allllllllllllllmost make it to the top of the mountain. What a fun year for Oilers fans even if we ended up missing it by a hair in the end. I can't wait for next year!

  12. Florida lost in the final in 2023 and came back and won the cup this year, the Oilers could easily repeat the same outcome in 2025 – The Oilers had a hell of season this year going from last in the league early in the season all the way to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final! The Oil aren't done by a long shot! Looking really forward to the 2024/2025 season!

  13. I hope all Canadian hockey fan stop buy any jerseys or anything NHL products they will take your money and expand the NHL down in the USA and Gary Bettman still in NHL commissioner the cup never came back to Canada.

  14. Long post follows. Read / Don't Read up to you. Statistics for Round 4 Cup Finals Game 7 Edmonton at Florida June 24th, 2024. These are "Base" statistics and are simply a foundation for reference. Patrick, this season has seen incredible growth in your channel. That is due to your hard work (and Toph's additions). Thanks for everything and take care.

Florida won the cup for the first time in franchise history after loosing in the finals last year. Connor McDavid won the Conn Smythe as the MVP of the playoffs (he didn't come out for the trophy, he wanted the cup).

So I couldn't watch or listen to the game. I have treatments on Monday's that make that pretty much impossible. I tried catching what I could but just couldn't watch or listen to a lot.

The stats tell and interesting back and forth in some ways but the key stats for me are Giveaways, Takeaways, and Blocked Shots. Oilers had less giveaways (by 4) (good). They also had 5 less takeaways (not good) and 4 less blocks (13 for the Oilers, 17 for the Panthers, also not good). The Panthers out hit Edmonton 30 to 19 (so by 11). Edmonton was slightly better in the faceoff circle and took 1 extra penalty though both PK's were at 100% and no one scored on the PP. By all accounts this was a good and very close game that the Panthers just did a little more to win.

Mentioned it to a friend's son once but it's possible to do your best and do everything right yet still lose because others can be better. In this game Leon didn't even get a Shot on Goal and Connor had 2. The big 4 were offensively invisible. That is a good for the Panthers and a Bad for the Oilers.

I hope the Oilers get there, I hope they hoist the cup again (and I hope it's next year). Hope is understanding but a lot of things have to happen for there to be realistic hope. To all of those that have followed hockey and who's youtube sites I've ever posted on I want to thank-you for your support of hockey and, most of all, the Oilers.

To all the fans of every team it is possible your team will get there, you do have a chance and you can also feel the wildest of high's and the lowest of low's and everything in-between. Never give up. Never surrender to the apathy that can happen. Make sure your team knows that you support them.

I am so grateful to my community, my home city of Edmonton. The fans here are wonderful (and very very loud) in their support. I'm grateful to the Oilers fans across the planet, old and new. Those that may have just seen hockey for the first time or those that have been watching or playing for decades. Thank-you for allowing me to contribute in my way and for those that have supported my efforts. Take care all.

  15. Biggest choke ever in a cup final series. Oilers should have had game 1 and 3. Now they get a lifetime of regret. Like the 06 Oilers.

  16. As an Oiler fan in the arena in Florida last night, I left devastated, despite all hopes one crafts for the future. One needs to understand how much more devastated are the players themselves, and in that process, RAISE UP and SUPPORT the players, it is all about the TEAM and pushing it forward. In a way I wished they had in North-America some part of the fan-culture in Europe, where guest visiting teams have their own "tribune" (sector), and all fans are physically together at an away game. Last night EVERY SINGLE FAN deserved a 'greeting' from McDavid/Draisaitl&Team, but MUCH MORE at the end of the game, every Oiler fan to raise their voices and sing a nice team-song for the OILER's TEAM, that stays with them, and LIFTS THEM UP! Think of Scottland as they lost at Euro '24, and created the most unbelievable atmosphere with singing for their players at the end. That is what stays with EACH player BEYOND THE LOSS.

  17. As a Panthers fan that has waiting 30 years for this, hat is tipped to Oilers with utmost respect. Their strength and resiliency pushed the panthers to their limits and made them earn it. They made it a series for the ages and while the series was an emotional roller coaster, I don’t think hockey fans could have asked for a better final series 6:46

  18. You look defeated this one hurt and it’s so similar to the 2006 run ugh. But I’m proud of them just sucks they gotta do it all over again but like the Panthers I believe they will be back and win this time.

  19. Right from the first puck drop it seemed like the Oilers were only firing on one line and that line only played 11 minutes.

  20. Been following this team like crazy since early 2000s as I feel confident saying Cup will come sooner than we think! Stay strong everyone and have a great summer.

  21. Sad that they are 2 goals away from winning the Stanley Cup but happy that they made it this far with the coaching change and are down 0-3 in the Stanley Cup series.

  22. Love your channel, and just wanted to congratulate you guys on an amazing season. I'm fairly new to the sport, but I can honestly say that the first time I saw you guys on the ice in SoFlo I was blown away at the sheer talent of your team. I turned to my wife and said, "if this is the Oilers then we're in big trouble." By the end of game 3 I was just thinking that my inexperience was misplacing admiration on your style of hockey, but by the end of game 6 I felt better about my original assessment. You guys played some slick hockey truly represented by the beast McDavid. If anything the series reminded me of an elegant fighter versus the brawler. You found some weaknesses in our game mid series and whacked the crap out of us. Unfortunately, we had one more trick in game 7 and just offloaded with a renewed energy. Anyway, you guys should be proud. The soccer world has a term, "The beautiful game," and if there was a hockey team that epitomized that philosophy in hockey, then it would be the Oilers. Class team, class series. Good luck next year.

  23. I know how this sounds, but in my opinion Bobrovsky should have been given the Conn Smythe. Without him Florida does not win the Cup. We could have won game one if not for him. Frustrating to get that far and no cigar. Bouchard hit the outside of the post and the puck went off into the corner. But if he had hit the inside of the post that was probably a goal that would have tied the game. Inches away! Aarrggh!!! They played 107 games, and it all comes down to an inch or two. All that work, the long-distance travel, the practices, the entire year and it was oh so close. The minute the clock hit zero I turned it off. I can catch more Oilers stuff on the Tube. Bright spots? Broberg for sure, Holloway, Janmark, Henrique, and Connor Brown. Foegele played well too. The doubts about Skinner are gone now. Probably leaving someone out. A year is a long time to wait. A lot can happen during that time both good and bad. No guarantee that the Oilers will be back there. Need to clear up cap space. There's the Draisaitl issue. Buyout of Jack Campbell. No doubt a couple of other players will be finding new homes. Probably a new GM. Hopefully, make some good additions in free agency. Patrick, want to thank you for having such a great channel. Don't stop!! Busy off-season. Training camp will start in about two weeks (playing until it's just about July is crazy). Should be a lot of things going on. Keep us informed!

  24. This was an amazing season forsure!! Records broken, new milestones reached, and making the panthers worry!! I also couldn’t be more proud of the entire team and staff!! Looking forward to what happens next!!

Thank you for some great work throughout this season as well!! You kept us all well informed!! Looking forward to catching your videos and being apart of the fanatic ride through the off season and into the next season of oilers hockey!!😊💙🧡
