Re-signing damaged goods does not really make a lot of sense, except if the Leafs think they won't be able to sign Montour, Pesce or Roy.

They are running it back , I anticipate they might miss the playoffs and Chicago will get a high 1st round pick , fans suffer and Shanny gets fired, too late to fix it next season because the momentum is trending down for the team Matthew era is wasted all other teams improve except the Leafs guys

Lily had good moments and i still think hes got more, took him some development time in the ahl but his last ahl year he played top pairing, powerplay and pk, maybe he just needs more time, this definitely makes me think robertson is gonna get moved too if theyre still talking to bertuzzi and are trying to sign tanev too
They could've been all in on Zadorov, way over paying liligren shut the door on that. So far Tanev is still not signed and its looks like the exact same team is returning just exchange Brodie for Tanev.
Oh and apparently Nick Robertson has requested a trade , the summer of fun continues…
