Nothing against Stolarz, but Leafs continue to undermine the importance of goaltending. This team does not have a true number one reliable goaltender. A good goalie won't get you to the cup. A great goalie can. Prepare for another season of goaltending issues talk
You do a great job covering the leafs , but the constant negativity with the core of the leafs is starting to be depressing

Montour and Chychrun were available and Leafs missed out on both. I absolutely hate what Toronto has done with these roster moves. SD is obviously a massive fanboi for the Leafs and most people love his freat-out videos. Good News, he will have plenty of content over the next years as this ancient, injured and overpaid roster is unable to progress.

Samsonov was a great goalie and leafs ran him out of town. Leafs averaged 1.7 goals a game, no goalie is winning us a series last year

Cheap tandem, but never forget… Mrazek was more proven than Stolarz when he came to Toronto. Giving a 2/3 goalie a more important role in a tough market doesnt always translate to them being a solid starter. Its a good signing but I wouldve preferred a veteran as the backup to Woll
And now if Matt Murry is healthy and ready he can fill in for this year also

Sorry but Treliving is brutal, he makes moves as if he’ll only be with the team he’s with for a year or 2 and whatever garbage moves he made will become someone else’s problem , this guy is putting the leafs in a shitty position , kinda like what bergevin did to the habs , but Trev did it in Calgary , he’s now doing it in Toronto

The fact that they aren't spending any big money on anyone or even the goaltender position tells me they don't even plan on moving off the core 4. If they were in serious talks with any teams about Marner or Tavares they'd have gone for Montour or Zadorov. They'd be spending more than 4 million on their goaltending. No team wants to take Tavares deal now that Arizona doesn't exist and Marner hasn't waved his NTC probably because he wants to see how all the contenders shape up before he agrees to leave if he even wants to.
