I’m okay with what they did today. Still a few holes to fill but money well spent.

I think it’s a solid start. Use the remainder to fill in the d and let’s have a good season!

  2. They’re gonna be playing big boy hockey for sure. That is the identity. Can’t win with just skill in this division, but the biggest need at the deadline or throughout the summer is getting one more puck moving D.

Looks like a lot of pieces to improve our PK.

I’m guessing Hughes, Hronek and Myers are probably going to be on separate pairings, so I wonder what those pairings might look like.

Curious what happens with the PP, we have the talent to keep stacking our first unit but something needs to change from how it looked by end of season.

It’s a good start. But there are still some things left to be done. Getting a top six forward was one of the biggest priorities this off-season, and while we didn’t get Jake Guentzel. DeBrusk is still a very good player. Who can score and is solid in his own zone.

They didn’t overspend which is the most important thing.  DeBrusk is a bit of a gamble but even if he can maintain current pace it’s a good signing.

Sherwood and Desharnais are going to be a pain in the ass to play against.

  7. Given the fact all the top options were gone before July 1, not bad. Really like Heinen and Sherwood, think they make it easier for Garland and Joshua to move up in the lineup when needed

They didn’t get there one need a top line winger instead they got 3 third/fourth liners

95% sure they potoshopped Debrusks head and tape job over a still of Hoggy lol

  10. The more I look at it, I think this is more or less the roster they’ll go with heading into the season.

They’ll probably audition Soucy and Forbort each on that 2LD with Myers and see who sticks. If either of them or both can give you 18-19 solid minutes per night, you’re in a pretty good spot. My biggest concerns would be injuries, neither of them even played half of this past season.

They obviously must have seen something in Desharnais to give him $2M per year, he’ll be a staple in the lineup at that number.

Forward group is solid. PDG and Åman go from necessary parts of the 4th line to solid depth options. Debrusk and Heinen are good option to complement the top-6.

All they have to do is sign Šilovs and I think they’re just about done until the beginning of the season I think.

    Why isn’t DeBrusk on here?

Edit: He’s on here I’m just blind

  12. I think we’re more or less running it back with a similar roster. We’ll be a top flight team but I think we’ll run into the same issues in the playoffs as this year. We need one more game breaking talent to tip the scales.

I’m pretty sure at the end of this season, I will grow attached to them and won’t want any of them to leave. But right now I am just whelmed 😶

Remind me in one year! 👀

I’d give management a solid B for today’s signings. Time will tell what happens next

Glad to see a Canadian going towards our top 6. Can’t go wrong with that

  16. What would you guys say the projected lines be?
