This song chronicles some of the hockey players from Kirkland Lake who went on to play in the NHL. This list of players is by no means exhaustive. There are a number of others who were born and/or grew up in Kirkland Lake who also went on to play in “The Show”.
The original version was probably written back in the 1960’s as it referenced only the first 9 players. The author is unknown to me. This version makes a number of modifications to the original and adds several new verses.

Cool song Ron! I'm from Oakville originally but played music at the Princess Hotel in the mid 70's and Dick Duff would often come in for a drink and to hear a few tunes. His brother worked at the hotel back then as a bar tender as I recall. Lots of fond memories of the town and the people. Thanks for posting this. Cheers!
Fantastic Don !
