The nature of rental players is that you get greater value. Inserting more expensive players into the lineup for shorter periods, or players at prices cheaper than they would be the next year. It's not a fair question. You should ask if they're better at the beginning of the season, not after they signed rentals at playoffs start.

There's two puck-movers that can be acquired for probably dirt cheap: Klingberg/Barrie. Maybe $1mil for 1yr deal, or the team can see what Dman Pety or Willander can do…
