The New Jersey Devils 2024-25 Schedule was released yesterday.
I look forward to this day every year, and immediately look for potential road trips and key matchups.

This schedule is so much better than last year. I felt like we were always on back-to-backs.

I expect Dawson Mercer will take a big step this year. In a salary cap system you must have your young players grow.
If you could just buy a team every year at free agency, the Rangers would win the cup every year.
A reunion of Tuna with Heisher and Mercer could be just what we need to push Mercer to develop.
I am also reading quite a bit about running pairs instead of lines. Jack and Bratt with a fast banger to churn pucks free on the forecheck. Cotter just did this on Vegas for Stone's line and Noeson did this in Carolina for PP1.
Both Cotter and Noeson in their welcome videos said they pride themselves in being able to play throughout the lineup.
This will also free up Timo to do exactly this for L1 or L2.
The big thing becomes chemistry. We need these players to gel and care about each other.
Carolina was very successful at this.
We may learn a bit on best practices from Pesce and Noeson.
Hey Ace, you know what sucks bro?..here in Brick, at least the part I live in, we only have Xfinity my friend, who conveniently dropped all of the MSG channels..so I haven't been able to watch EVERY game of the year like I used to, unless I was going to the game of course..so I'm pretty much bummed out brother..I would love to be able to relax and watch a Devils game again, and it's not gonna happen..I finally watched the press conference too bud, Fitz is definitely NOT thinking about winning now, he's thinking of a few years away kind of thing, and that is so depressing my friend..I've never seen a Devils game on the road except for the Garden..I'm not small either, so I had no issues, lol..but you are correct sir, Ranger fans are scmbgs..they're the only NY team I don't like..I'm a Yankee fan too, they suck btw..at least imo..and I don't watch basketball..but yeah, Fitz is a mo-mo, you have family in the league who obviously wants a change of scenery, and you can't make a phone call?..no wonder he got canned bro..stay well Ace..Peace bro ✌️👹

Live an hour from San Jose and my wife's family is from SoCal, so I think we can make all 3 California games work this year – Can't wait to see the boys out west! Also plan on seeing a game when I'm back for Thanksgiving, so hopefully I can catch 4-5 Devils games this year. As for the 4 Nations Tournament, I'm more looking forward to key pieces (Nico, Meier, Nemec, etc) getting rest before the big push to the end of the season. I'm curious to see how that'll impact momentum teams have going into/ coming out of the tournament.

On July 15, the Devils will trade Dougie Hamilton, Erik Haula, Ondrej Palat, Nathan Bastian, Nico Daws, Nolan Foote, Arseni Gritsyuk, a 2025 conditional 2nd-rounder, and a 2026 1st-rounder to the Senators for Brady Tkachuk and Tim Stuetzle, trade Topias Vilen, Samu Salminen, Daniil Karpovich, Tyler Brennan, a 2025 conditional 6th-rounder, and a 2025 5th-rounder to the Jets for Connor Hellebuyck, and trade Jake Allen, Seamus Casey, Lenni Hameenaho, Daniil Misyul, Daniil Orlov, Isaac Poulter, Michael Vukojevic, a 2025 4th-rounder, and a 2026 conditional 7th-rounder to Sabres for Alex Tuch and a 2025 3rd-rounder, so next season, Brady, Alex, and Jack Hughes will form the "Red, White & Doom" line, one the best line combinations the Devils have seen since the A-Line in early 2000s, Luke Hughes will pair with Brett Pesce on defense, Connor and Jakob Markstrom will form one of the best goalie tandems the Devils have seen since Martin Brodeur and Chris Terreri in the 90s, and new head coach Sheldon Keefe will lead the Devils to a 53-20-9 record and their 4th Stanley Cup title.

Wish they’d play in more in Tampa, jax to sunrise Florida on a weekday isn’t feasible with work.
I always like the game around Thanksgiving so I will probably do Nov 27th against the Blues. On another note, I was checking a local antique shop a few weeks ago and I came across an absolute gem bobble head that the Rangers did which was ridiculous. I took a pic for you to see but it won’t load in this text box. It was Bobby Holik, he was a Ranger for 5 mins and he got a bobble head? WTF!
Glad the schedule came out. I'm like you, time to plan road trips(Home games, since I live in Florida), and away games (in Sunrise or Tampa). I'm all booked for Prague. Can't friggin wait. I'll upload videos to my account/channel while I'm at the game if people wanna view them. Besides that, I know I'll be going to 11/12(Panthers) and/or 11/14(Panthers), 11/16 at Tampa. It's been a long time since I made the trip over to Tampa to watch the Devils play. Last time I remember the Devils winning something like 9-1. It was a long time ago. Usually the Devils come down to Florida in January and March. I always banked on seeing them around those months. Anyway, I'm also going to be in Toronto for the January 16th game. First time in Canada. My nephew and I have been planning a trip to the HOF, so why not do it when the Devils are in town? I was hoping they were going to do a Leafs>Ottawa>Habs trip so I could KO Eastern Canada on my "See the Devils play in all Arenas" pipedream bucket list, I may have to settle for pipedream #2 "See a NHL game in all Arenas", but I'll enjoy the Leafs game this round. I DO WANT to go and watch the Leafs vs Habs in Montreal on 1/18. That would be cool af too. We will be in Montreal on that date. Besides that, I wanted to plan my coming home to Jersey weekender trips around Back to Backs, but I'm not doing the Canes 12/27-12/28. Flyers/Ottawa in January, I'll be in Canada and that's it for Home back to backs. I'll see what I can plan(most likely this won't happen) for the Away Back to Back vs the Jets and Wild in March. That would be fun flying around to chase the Devils for a few days. I'll just plan around Bobblehead and Autograph $25 Puck night. Maybe I’ll do a fly in watch a game and fly out after the game a few times if it’s worth it(this is only if they are killing it, this is kinda of excessive even though my round trips to Tampa are 6 hours and Sunrise can be that too. PBI to ERW is 2 1/2 hours so it’s not bad).Last year I got a Mercer and Bastian. I'll also try for the Devils vs Rags on 4/5. I've never been to a Devils vs Rags game. I'll have a Gamer MacDermid by then and wear it. I like to bring my(only 2 as of now) Gamers back to the Rock for one more game. That's about it for me. I'll go to a few Panthers games when Super Stars come to town. Last year I got screwed by Vivid Ticket for the Blackhawks game in November. Long story short, I paid $90, tried to claim the ticket transfer, didn't work, India's finest laughed at me on the phone, never got a refund and couldn't even watch the game at home because it was Blacked Out. Warning to all.

10/3 in Philly IMMEDIATELY followed by facing off against Lindy in Prague on the 4th and 5th, then Keefe sees his Maple Laughs for the home opener on 10/10.
11/4 against Connor McSmythe and wrapping up the Canada roadtrip. Then 2 away games in a row?? against the Stanley Cats a week later.
