Here in Finland we have public rinks even in every town that have a least a few thousand people. Most of them are free to use. You even have indoor rinks in many places. In the countryside, we make temporary rinks on the fields, or on a lake or, less commonly on sea. Many times local parents build temporary rinks and maintain them in shifts so their kids can play. Most of the Finnish NHL talent starts from outside rinks. Many families can't afford to put their kids in a hockey club or buy them the best equipment but in here everyone gets to play.

When my favorite player left Montreal in 1995 1996 I was a big colorido fan for like 2 years I think … I know I got a ice hockey sweater and had póster on my wall !!!
It’s because cities like building shit out of concrete so they can neglect upkeep for 50 years. Something like this requires the government to actually maintain a benefit for you and we all know maintaining infrastructure properly is considered sacrilegious to governments 😂

Yo where is that rink at
Dallas stars made 7 ice hockey rinks around the dfw metroplex and are hosting college and highschool leagues that weren't there before
YO IVE BEEN THERE
I go to that rink
In Colorado we have so many of these! And lots of people love them too I think it’s a great idea for other states to have them to grow hockey
As someone that lives in Colorado and is an Avs fan this is awsome
Northern Colorado needs a nhl team

That thing is awesome
In Canada almost every park has them , the same way America had basketball courts

Pittsburgh has a couple in the metro area they’re so nice
And can’t you use those rinks with real and roller blades so everyone can practice

Luckily in Honolulu we have two nice indoor roller hockey rinks and two ODRs!
Instead of building a rink for our city, they demanded $500,000,000 for a new arena for themselves….. Go Oilers
