  1. I’m glad. I still have high hopes for this guy. He seemed to show some talent on the pp last year. I know that’s not saying much with the quality of thus team’s power play, but it would be great if he could develop into the second unit point person.

Not a fan personally. His ceiling is 3rd pair D. I’d rather see Ginning and Attard rotate in and out of his spot until McDonald, Andrea and Bonk are ready. Zams only good attribute is breaking up plays with good stick work and even that he’s wildly inconsistent at doing.

EDIT: lol the 16 year olds are mad today

Two years, low hit. He can either improve and stick past that or it just buys time for Bonk and the boys to develop. Also low enough of a hit to flip for a 4/5 pick if needed. Just kind of a meh.

Low aav, two years, still leaves a rfa year eligible if he outperforms and we want to lock him up, yup. Thats a perfect deal for him right now. Glad to see Zamula actually earn a bit of ice time and hey, he’s one of the few Russian regulars on the team right now, so it gives a potential welcoming environment for Michkov

Can’t see an issue unless I try to force it. Good move Danny

  5. I think a new rule of thumb should be to never get hyped about prospects that went undrafted (Myers, Zamula, Attard) etc.

  6. Zamula is still young and while his development curve has been gradual, he has improved quite a bit. I hope he can fill out a bit more but he’s a guy who’s worth keeping around for now, not least because as a young Russian player who’s already made the transition to living and playing in North America he can be a support for Michkov.
