The Nashville Predators made some big moves Leading up to the 2024 NHL Draft and Free Agency with their signings that may change the future of goalie prospect Yaroslav Askarov. Askarov was the goaltender of the future for the Nashville Predators, but with Signing Juuse Saros to a long term deal and signing Scott Wedgewood to back him up, may have sealed the fate for Askarov as him.and his agent feel he is NHL ready sooner than that.
Askarov has put up impressive Numbers in the KHL and the AHL and has his sights set in dominating the NHL. Will he force GM Barry Trotz to trade him now as they tried at the Draft and it didn’t happen or could an NHL team who needs a future goalie trade for him.

He's going to get moved this season or by the trade deadline. If he was a NJ Devil, it would solve the goalie situation for the next 10-15 years.
Would be willing to give up a ton for this kid and I can't believe he's still available
Ummmmm we could of just you know drafted him…. Lol
Unfortunately, Tom Fitzgerald 🤡 & Martin Brodeur hitched their wagons to a couple of old washed up goalies.
In the terms of Allen, totally washed.
Allen only has a job in NJ because he is Martys old golfing buddy from his time in St. Louis.
Markstrom also used to play against Marty.
Notice a pattern here?
I personally have zero faith in both Fitzgerald & Brodeur's abilities to scout, acquire, develop, & hold on to actual legitimate goaltending talent. Their track record to date has been abysmal.
The Wedgewood waivers debacle for no reaso was one of the worst most baffling moves in NJ Devils history.
Askarov wouldve been great, if we in NJ had a competent front office.
On a side note, Stamkos sure is going to look oh so STUPID when he dons the brutal mustard stained Predators jersey. 😂
The asking price would be astronomical. No thanks.
This is why we should t have traded for Allen, KK, and. Then Markstrom. Traded for this guy and gave what we gave for all three of three of these guys
He reminds me of Patrick Roy, he’s ready for the NHL and he knows it. This is no smoke and mirrors
