Skipped through Blake's audio issues only to have to quit listening due to the constant text dings durring the Shannon interview
Germany actually also scored 11 goals in the tournament. I can attest to the shock at being catapulted out with only a couple of minutes to go before penalty kicks. The last time that they lost on kicks was Euro 1976 🙂 After a decade of under-performing, the country was relieved to find that football is still possible, and with an attractive, attacking style. Nagelsmann would rather lose with courage than play ugly, but everybody could see it coming when they got on the wrong side of the draw.
