I wouldn’t say he got shafted. He’s a good to great goalie on teams that just never won Cups. And he kept getting traded because he was in those situations constantly.
There are so many players/goalies in the NHL, and even in any sport, who had good careers statistically but never won championships, and I’d say that for the most part, almost all of them were not “shafted.”
