Is he overpaid? Yes. Does he suck? Yes. Do I think we need a guy that will elbow people in the head? … yes

Should not give up an asset for him but if they pay us to take him im for it, if just to keep our own team safer.

  2. That 8 million cap hit next year will be brutal. They better give us something big for taking that.

  3. StartButtonPress

Two more years at $8m? Hard pass.

A top-six forward or nothing, please.

  4. ZamiiraDrakasha

If they give us something for taking him then sure

  5. HarambeWest2020

Does anyone believe he’ll actually move if he’s traded this season ?

  6. DekexelDragon55

Rangers fan here, he’s not going to Buffalo so don’t worry about this. You guys are safe

  7. YoungTroubadour

GMKA gearing up to flip another shit RHD to Philly in a steal. Farabee for Trouba incoming.

  8. Please no, he’s fucking awful. Also why another defensemen, if anything we just need a top 6 and that’s it

Shoots right can hit and cares and wants to be here (kind of).

I’d take it for 2 years, dahlin could make his final form and learn to be a full pronger.

Ruff wants a 90s Sabres team so bad and I’m here for it

I love Trouba. Everyone forgets he’s one season removed from a very high level of play. He’s also a big body right shot D and the captain of a playoff team.

  12. GoGlenMoCo

I’d absolutely take him here, though I’d want nothing to do with him at his full cap hit. We could definitely use an upgrade/addition to our group of RHD.

Trouba: “Buffalo is still in New York, maybe I can commute from the city”

  14. Rockhardwood

If we got him 50% retained, id do it easy. I think he’d be a good fit for Power, cause right now, no one is scared on Power in the corners/coming up the middle of the ice. Throw trouba out there too, all of sudden guys are gonna have to play a lot differently offensively.

And realistically, all we’ve done all off season is over pay for depth and/or grit. Why not add probably the most imposing defenseman in the league if that’s what you’re doing.

  15. We’re going to ice the most expensive defense in the NHL already no matter what.

Why would we spend more money to bring in a guy who’s not gonna make them better.

I know that Buffalo is too far away for family reasons, but he might enjoy it. If nothing else, there’s a lot more elbow room.

We need to Ranger fan this thread.

Sabres give them next years 4th and the following year 5th. They eat 3 million. Reasonable, right?

Haven’t seen any comments about it yet so I’ll say it. I don’t want a flying elbowern on our team. Watching NYR-FLA was so shitty knowing one of either Sam Bennet or Trouba was going to the finals. I hate dirty players. No place for elbows to the head in today’s game.

Oh haha that’s funny oh kev can you not haha

If he didnt waive his nmc for Detroit in his homestate of Michigan he isn’t coming to Buffalo, his wife has one year left on her residency to be a Doctor and she s pregnant.. Just straight garbage click bait

  21. kit_mitts

There’s no way we aren’t on his no-trade list, and it’s not like his wife can switch her residency to UB Med.

  22. If it’s future considerations and he’s the 7 d man so when he inevitably elbows someone and gets suspended it wouldn’t really mean much. Also idc about his off ice life, he’s tryna kill people playing hockey full well knowing exactly what he’s doing.

  23. CakeStealingPanda

He said he is staying in NYC to be near his wife.. So no he’s not leaving them till end of next season.

  24. eyeeatmyownshit

The Rangers can include Kakko with Trouba and the Sabres can send a 3rd rd pick to NYR.
