The money these players are getting 19 points 1.5 for what he brings is high ,won't be long a players put up 20 to 25 playing on the fourth line making 5 million insane cap rise everyone going for the bag

The issue is people/players now that TML will over pay players no matter what there stats are they (TML) have to get back on track and STOP over paying players. I believe there is a name for that hum… I think its called "TML has more money then brains!"

What if (and this is just a theory) that's why they signed jani hakanpaa to 1.5 million, to then put him on LTIR, to make room for Dewar. It's cap circumvention, and they will say "well we thought we could get him better and back to playing". I might be way off, but it's the exact same deal 2 years at 1.5 million.

Leafs would have known based on Dewer’s
statistics even prior to the trade that he would approximately be awarded a raise going into this season, so despite the fact this is being played out in the media the Leafs wouldn’t be surprised at all about this..
A young 800k, 4th liner gets 10 goals and plays penalty kill for both teams he played on he’s liable to be awarded a bit of a raise on the 800k he previously made prior to scoring the 10 goals
Only question is, in these types of cases can Dewer get awarded less than the requested amount? If the answer is yes then he will likely get awarded a little less than 1.5.
It’s a guaranteed he gets awarded more than the minimum NHL contract, we gotta be realistic
