Unfortunately that’s not surprising. After all those injuries, he just wasn’t good enough to make it in the NHL, And his lack of work got thick at Lehigh valley really killed any chance of him, making it.
Too bad he had a high ceiling for a while but just couldn’t get where he needed to be. I remember when he first broke in for the flyers he looked great when he was healthy.
I liked Wade so much. Especially in his first handful of games. Wish him the best

Loved this dude. He had a lot of tough breaks with injuries but I think the preseason injury vs NYR in 2021 is what killed his trajectory. Another #17 gone too soon. I remember when he was just crashing around on the ice and Torts told him he needed to slow down, his response was “I only have one speed!”
Wish he could’ve made it. Now was it bad drafting or development that caused all of Hextall’s 2nd+ rd picks to bust? Wagering both.
He will go down as one of those guys…
He was beast I remember him comin up at the end of the year prolly like 3 years ago and just giving it his all every shift. I really thought he was gonna become part of the core
