Imagine if GMMG had pulled the trigger on the MayRay, Ballard and a 3rd for Malkin back in 2012.

  2. I was rewatching some draft picks and saw JT Millerā€™s draft pick by the Rangers. His NHL comparable was Mason Raymond. It was interesting to see that.

May ray and Hansen were amazing for us, both developed nicely. Itā€™s a shame they werenā€™t really able to replicate their success when they inevitably left the team.

1 hit wonder Mason Raymond. 2011 version of Ilya Milkeyev. He underperformed and put up fourth line points in a second line role in the cup run, putting a lot of strain on Kesler to perform, leading to his injuries. In hindsight, they should have kept Grabner or traded/signed for a legitimate top six winger and they might have won the cup.

I was playing roulette one very late night at Elements Casino in Surrey and I was placing bets on numbers and calling out the corresponding Canucks player joking that my luck wasn’t too hot anyways. An older gentleman playing at the table turned to me and said “Mason Raymond is my nephew” as I bet on 21. He then spilled his drink all over the table.

Idk what that has to do with anything but that happened.

  6. I know i’m in the minority but I always thought he was perfectly fine as a middle 6 winger. He and Samuelsson both had a career high until the 10-11′ Kesler decided that it’s more important to throw 50′ limp wrist shots himself.

Literally every night i us gain possession, both wings run up to the blue line and hard stop because Kes wouldn’t pass and wouldn’t dump to the end boards, get stone walled, lose possession and everyone doubles back.

I blame the fans and media for screwing up that line.

I loved Mason Raymond. Not a lot of finish but his speed was always fun to watch.
